Do you feel constantly stressed or on edge, even when nothing obvious is wrong?

Do you struggle to switch your mind off, relax, or properly rest?
Are you carrying tension in your body, feeling mentally drained, or running on empty?

I’ll be at The H.O.M.E Hub on Monday the 16th, offering short, gentle Reiki sessions in a calm, supportive space.

People often come along feeling tense, overwhelmed, or exhausted — and leave feeling: • calmer and more grounded

• mentally clearer
• lighter and less burdened

There’s no pressure, no talking required if you don’t want to, and no experience needed — just a chance to pause and reset.

Feeling tense, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted — even when nothing is “wrong”?

Many of us carry stress in our bodies without realising it. Tight shoulders. A busy mind. Constant fatigue. That feeling of being slightly “on edge” all the time.

If that sounds familiar, I’ll be at The H.O.M.E Hub on Friday 13th February, between 10am and 4pm, offering short, gentle 10-minute relaxation sessions as part of their wellbeing programme.

There’s no pressure, no talking required, and no expectations — just a calm pause to see if your body can settle and feel a little better.

If you’re curious, come down, have a look around, and try it for yourself. Sometimes a small pause is all it takes.

fist for 3 seconds, then release. Think of it as the
emergency brake on stress.

Most people cdon't realise the jaw is directly linked
to the vagus nerve. When it's tight, your nervous
system stays locked in fight-or-flight. Release the
jaw, and your whole body gets the message: it's
safe to relax.

Coffee doesn't give you energy - it just hides
how tired your nervous system really is. That's
why you crash later: the stress never left, it was
only masked. Real energy doesn't come from
stimulation, it comes from resetting your nervous
system.

You can't relax what you don't notice. Here's
your 60-second tension audit: check your jaw,
your shoulders, and your stomach. If you find
tension, take one slow breath and let it go. Most
people carry tension all day without realising it.

how to release it

If lying down makes you anxious, your body's not
resting - it's hiding. When your nervous system's
stuck in survival mode, rest doesn't feel safe.
Try this: before you lie down, plant your feet on
the floor, press down for 5 seconds, then let go.
You've just told your body, 'We're safe now.' When
your nervous system trusts you, rest actually
works.

If your body's living in yesterday, it can't enjoy
today. Signs you're stuck: overreacting to small
things, feeling dread for no reason, scanning
for danger, sudden emotional floods, and being
unable to relax even in safe places. Quick fix: look
around and name three colours you can see -
you just told your brain you're safe. Your nervous
system can learn safety again- sometimes it
starts with a few simple resets.
