~ Excited to be back on the mat to lead practice! ~

Following my move to Cambridgeshire - I'm thrilled to share it's been confirmed that I'll be running regular yoga classes on Wednesday nights, right here on the patch! šŸ˜

The primary school are kindly letting me rent their hall space so there will be plenty of room - i'm fully qualified, personally insured, and my style of teaching is accessible to all levels and totally beginner friendly! Classes will be £10 per 75min session, or you can bulk book for a discount.

I teach a "Vinyasa Flow" style yoga practice, so connecting movement with breathwork and flowing from pose to pose... so come in comfy clothing that you can work out in, a warm layer/socks for relaxation at the end, and don't forget your yoga/fitness mat!

Classes commence next Wednesday night (Oct 6th) and are weekly, except for half term ~ So if you'd like to join me (or if you have any further questions) please get in touch! I can't wait to meet you all and share my love for the practice with the community here 🄰
Namaste!

With today also being ~ I cannot even fathom to think how it must feel to be a vulnerable individual on the streets, whilst fighting internal battles. Let’s take this weekend to check in with ourselves, check in with our loved ones, and take a moment to extend warmth, patience + random acts of kindness to others... Because the only thing more exhausting than having a mental illness is pretending like you don’t... and no one should ever have to struggle in silence.

ā€œAnd just like that, summer collapsed into fall.šŸ‚ā€

Although I’m definitely a summer lover - the sunshine, the heat, escaping to the beach... after how unconventional this year has been so far, I am really looking forward to the coziness of autumn ā˜•ļø

Okay Instagram - time to open up. So I’ve actually put a pause on my park classes. Due to a combination of things really, the weather being frustratingly unpredictable, my own work + study schedule kicking up a notch, and everyone else returning to work too... and to be honest, it has knocked me a little bit. My inner critic starts yapping away: ā€œno one wants to come to your classes anymoreā€ ā€œyour teaching isn’t good enoughā€ ā€œyou need to get your priorities in checkā€ & ā€œyou can’t do it allā€.... and I know this isn’t the case. I know this is my own self doubt, anxiety & stress. I know it isn’t personal. I know life right now is unpredictable & uncertain, and all we can do it’s take deeeeep breaths and take it one day at at time.

So where I’m at now: I’m organising my autumn schedule & searching for a indoor space to teach in, for some cozy weekly sessions through for the rest of the year! [all COVID pending of course] so watch this spacešŸ™šŸ»

In the meantime, this weekend is looking warm + bright so I’d love to make the most of the sunshine and get a little group together for a Sunday morning session, in the park whilst I still can! DM me if you’d like to join, Ā£5 for a 60min [socially distanced] vinyasa flow @ 9am. I am still a available for privates & semi-private/small-group bookings too✨

Hello Instagram!šŸ¦‹
Just some little life updates for you...

I am so sad that recently the weather has been a little too unpredictable + I’ve had to cancel some outdoor park classesā˜¹ļø

But as we move through the seasons and shift back into more ā€œnormal lifeā€ (if life before quarantine could be considered normal!?) I am hoping to soon have a indoor space + more stable schedule, yay!šŸ¤žšŸ»
In addition - my life is getting a whole lot busier soon! completing my 3rd year degree studies, working on an online internship, and starting a new job (exciting!) ...so my own practice will be needed as a priority for sure šŸ˜…

Therefore my teaching schedule from here on out I’ll share on a week-by-week & class-by-class basis... I am still always available for private’s & semi-private/small groups
(and willing to organise around your schedules & needs😌)

Can’t wait to see you all at classes soon when the sun comes out & looking forward to lots of exciting things to come... as always I’m so grateful for everyone’s support & presence at my classes!

Namaste! Sophie šŸ’“

The 4am wake-up call was worth it for this view... (and to have this incredible place to ourselves!) so far this time I’ve spent out nature + wilderness has been everything I didn’t know I needed, and everything I wanted.
šŸ“Sunrise hike up to Durdle Door, Dorset

In other news: I’m SO excited to share I am now a brand ambassador for Frankly Average Clothing šŸ˜ this fabulous small biz is all about being fashionable, affordable AND inclusive to everybody + every body... hitting the mark with all 3 is something other bands fall short on. So far every piece of theirs I own has exceeded expectations, and I’m so pleased to be supporting a brand with an ethos that I really align with!šŸ˜‡

This week FranklyAverage launched their new seamless gymwear collection... in 3 different styles, 9 different colours, great quality fabrics that’s flattering on all body types, and being able to mix & match sizes... I REALLY struggled to to not just buy it all!šŸ˜
This set I’m wearing in this snap is the ā€œMOVEā€ collection in teal and honestly I’m in love! It was a perfect fit for a chilly morning hike then some yoga on the beach.šŸ’“

Looking forwards to sharing some more photos of my travels on here soon, and some more gymwear recommendations when my big FranklyAverage order arrives!

Namaste! Sophie. x

Adventure day!
Currently en route to the seašŸ’™

Did you manage to come along to class this week just gone and pick up a sun salutation guide sheet? If you give the flows a go at home whilst I’m away ~ let me know how you find it! 🄰 A regular home practice is challenging in its own way but can really make a difference to each day... to each week... to your whole mindset over time, both on and off the mat.šŸ™šŸ»

Although I’m out of town for a bit now, im hoping to still run some livestream sessions on here so keep your eyes peeled (or turn notification ON!) & I’ll be brainstorming some dates× on my stories soon 🤩

Namaste + have a wonderful week!

A little Sunday afternoon update for you all...
This coming week (July 20th-26th) will be your last chance to come along to a class in the park and practice with me for a little while, as I’ll be taking a short hiatus from in-person teaching.
The truth is, I’ve been craving ocean air, salt in my hair & sand between my toes for toooo long now. I’m basically a plant, wilting away without sunlight or water (but just with more complex emotions šŸ˜›).

So on Monday 27th, Dan and I are packing up the car with camping gear and taking a VERY safe & SUPER socially-distanced short trip to the coast... now that we finally feel comfortable and at ease with the lockdown/safety measures in place.

Although my in-person classes will temporarily be paused, I’m hoping to make up for it by putting on some extra live-streams from beautiful locations, so you can still get your yoga fix ~ so watch this space!🄰
(and don’t worry, my park classes will resume in August, I’ll update on when!)

In the meantime... make sure to book yourself in to a yoga class this week so I can see all your lovely faces before I pop off šŸ™šŸ»

Plus, I’ll be sharing all the travel-ey stuff over on my insta if your interested in keeping up with my adventuring!šŸ˜‡

Namaste! Soph x
