So many snacks and treats in bright colours and fun shapes not just tempting for kids, but sometimes even for us adults
Most of them are packed with additives and ingredients that aren’t great for our health.

When I go shopping with the kids, I keep them busy using the Yuka app.
I ask them to scan the products themselves and see which ones are actually a better choice.

Personally, I trust my own eyes more than any app I always read the ingredients list before buying anything.

Hi friends,

For those interested in meditation, please read the message below.

📅 Date: Saturday, 13th December
📍 Location: London SRF Centre

Dear Friends,

This is a reminder that this year's Christmas meditation at the London Centre will be held on Saturday 13th December from 10am to 6pm. For this service, a time of deep inner communion, we especially ask that you arrive early, and in keeping with our Guru’s instructions, not enter after the meditation has started, as this may disturb others. The door will be closed at 11.00am and the doorbell will be disabled. Please bring a fruit offering and a donation. You may also like to bring a warm wrap, blanket, or cushion. There will be an intermission at approximately 2.00 pm. In order to preserve the depth of peace in the meditation, we request devotees to not come for the second half who has not already attended the first period of meditation.

In divine friendship,

Coordination Committee - London Centre of SRF

82A Chiltern Street, London, W1U 5AQ

Today I found out that my brother’s beloved horse, who had been with him for years and competed with him in national championships, passed away because of a simple mistake an iron injection given into the vein instead of the muscle.
This broke my heart.

It reminded me how easily we humans rely on medicines, injections, and pills… how quickly we interfere, even when it may not be necessary.
Animals, just like us, deserve to receive their nutrition from nature from real food that their bodies are designed for.

We are responsible…
Just as we are responsible for our children, we are responsible for every living being around us.
Today I understood more than ever that we must stay aware and allow bodies whether ours or animals’ to nourish themselves naturally, not through unnecessary drugs and injections.

I truly hope this never happens again, not to any animal and not to any human.

By now, we all know that raw plant foods, like vegetables and fruits, are packed with way more vitamins and nutrients than lots of other things. So why not include them in our daily routine?

For example, have a big bowl of salad, or make your breakfast a bit more balanced. If you’ve been having bread and jam, you could swap it for a smoothie or make a fruit pudding instead.

Have you ever thought about this? Or tried making these small changes in your day-to-day life?

You can start with breakfast, or even dinner – it’s easy, just trust yourself.

A lot of people don’t realise how good okra actually is not just for digestion, but for your skin as well.

It’s packed with fibre, vitamin C and antioxidants, and that lovely natural “slime” helps soothe the gut and reduce inflammation.
And honestly, when your gut’s happier, your skin shows it. Okra can help with hydration, brightness and keeping the skin looking fresh.

Do you eat okra at all?
Raw, cooked, in soups or are you one of those people who can’t quite get used to it?

Raw Energy Balls with Nuts, Dried Apricot & Cacao

All the nuts like cashews and walnuts, we wash and soak them . Then we pulse the cashews and walnuts in a food processor just a little, so they stay slightly chunky but not a full paste.

In another bowl, we mix soaked oats and dates in the food processor until it forms a sticky dough. The dried apricots, which we’ve soaked and washed, we process separately until smooth.

Now we combine all the ingredients, add a pinch of salt, some cinnamon, a little vanilla, and raw cacao powder, then knead everything together by hand. Finally, we roll into small balls.

You can roll them in shredded coconut or sesame seed if you like, and store them in a cool place or in the fridge. If you’ve made a lot, you can freeze them for longer storage. Otherwise, keeping them in the fridge is perfect for enjoying whenever you want.

Enjoy your healthy, delicious energy balls! 😋
