ABS!!! Why?
Physically: our core, is literally that! It is the centre of our bodies and helps us maintain function of the upper and lower body together. Not only that it supports our backs, steadies our hips, helps us breathe and so so much more. We always sequence abs in practice for safety and connection.
Emotionally: our gut (second brain). A place of intuition - that gut feeling. Where we digest emotions (and food) and an area that holds a lot of emotion. We can feel nervousness here, excitement, worry, love…get I tune with the emotions of your gut, you can learn a lot when you start to understand your core!
Energetically: let’s consider the 1st 3 Chakras. Our root, sacral and solar plexus. These 3 areas hold a huge compass of energy: from stability, safety, security and steadiness, to creativity, sexuality, flow, to personal power, drive, focus and excitement.
Again when we get to know our gut, core, abs….we have the opportunity to get to know even more about ourselves. And remove ourselves from the often unsteady fluctuations of the mind. Abs help us get into our bodies and out of our minds.

Yamas & Niyamas: Your Yogic Compass

In yoga, the Yamas and Niyamas are like the roots of the tree — guiding how we live both outwardly and inwardly.

The Yamas are how we relate to the world:
(non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, moderation, non-attachment)

The Niyamas are how we care for our inner world:
1. Shaucha – Cleanliness
2. Santosha – Contentment
3. Tapas – Discipline
4. Svadhyaya – Self-study
5. Ishvara Pranidhana – Surrender to the greater

The Yamas are the ethical roots of yoga — simple yet powerful principles for living with more peace and purpose. Start small this week:

✨ Ahimsa (Non-violence) – Speak kindly to yourself.
✨ Satya (Truth) – Be honest, especially with your needs.
✨ Asteya (Non-stealing) – Give time, take nothing that’s not freely offered.
✨ Brahmacharya (Moderation) – Use your energy wisely.

🍊 Fresh Turmeric Shot Recipe
• 1 thumb-sized piece fresh turmeric (or 1 tsp powder)
• 1 thumb-sized piece fresh ginger
• Juice of 1 lemon
• Optional: dash of cayenne + raw honey
Blend with a little warm water, strain if desired—and feel the zing!

Global Wellness Day - well a day to be well …. And long it may continue ….

A gentle invitation to check in … and explore what wellness means to you.

Today could be a chance to try something new, or return to something you love — something that lights you up and brings you JOY.

Wellness isn’t a destination it’s definitely a journey, a journey that should be filled with self love and a community , it’s a way of honouring your energy, lighting up your soul tuning into your rhythm, your needs.

Make it joyful. Make it sustainable. Make it yours.

We can have a vary of go-to wellness tool some days yoga / lifting weights , a good movie with family - going for a hike or even the cinema.

This week we’re exploring how to use the yoga roll as a powerful prop for deep release and support.- and it’s not a pillow !

The most versatile prop !

Whether you’re decompressing the lumbar spine or needing to switch on your intuition ,the roll becomes an extension of your intention- un- jamming your core ! And yes we use it a lot in Abs !!!

This practice is all about feeling deeply, breathing fully, and connecting inward.

Expect slow strength, core connection, and long-held openings.
