We had a lovely visit today from Nellie, our Cocker Spaniel therapy dog, which brought lots of smiles to many 😊🐶🥰

In the afternoon some of us enjoyed taking part in an arts & crafts activity. We finished off our plaster figures by painting & decorating them to make them stand out. They will be placed on display in our home. Some of us also had a go at making origami hats and swans which was rather tricky. 😄

First week of January and we have already enjoyed our first sing-along with Bella (volunteer) 🎹🎼as well as a brilliant talk by Dan Kitteridge, Aircraft Captain for 'Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance', about the amazing work they do. New year's celebration at SH was a great success, with everyone enjoying drinks, nibbles and various entertainment together. We also did an early count down and sang 'Auld Lang Syne', while Norah played the piano 😊🎹🎼. Here's to 2026 🍾🥂🍾🤩🥳

We finish off the week with a festive 2-hour long singing performance by 'Now & Then'. Such lovely four gentlemen showcasing great harmonies and wonderful acoustic guitars and a harmonica playing. Thank you for giving us such an enjoyable and uplifting extended performance and for letting us sing-along with you. 😊🎼🎸🎤🎄🥰

Some of us went on a Christmas lights bus tour around Bath last night. It was lovely to see the sunset and then the town lit up for Christmas, but also seeing sights some of us haven't visited for quite some time. ☺️🚌🎄🥰

This afternoon some of us attended a fantastic Arts & Crafts activity hosted by 'The Holburne Museum'. We made various figurines using wired skeletons and modroc (plaster of Paris), including a ballerina, a sword fighter, a tennis player and an ice skater. It was great fun and conversation was linked to personal interests such as dancing or tennis. Thanks again for another unique experience. Can't wait to see what you bring next time 😁 🤺 🙏👍 , , ,
