Cultivating Energy, Cultivating Balance ✨

Qigong (气功) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines breathwork, gentle movement, and meditation to cultivate Qi—our vital life energy. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it helps to harmonise the body, calm the mind, and strengthen overall well-being.

Huge thanks to and for an incredible session! It was a powerful reminder of how movement and breath can transform our energy and bring a deep sense of grounding.

If you’re looking for a practice that nurtures both body and mind, I highly recommend exploring Qigong. So love this beautiful practice.

Following our half day women’s retreat with .studio.yoga and this weekend at the serene gallery space at which focused on the Vagus nerve, we thought we would share with you some info on what the vagus nerve actually does and how acupuncture and sound therapy can support its function.
What it does:
* Regulates rest and digest function 😴
* Connects brain to multiple organs 🧠
* Influences heart rate ❤️
* Influences digestion 🍱
* Influences wellbeing 🧘🏻
To find out how acupuncture and sound therapy can help activate and enhance vagal tone read my latest blog at the AcuBath website. Link in bio.

Thank you to all the wonderful women who joined us yesterday for our first Flourish Half Day Retreat with .studio.yoga and A morning of yoga, sound bath and vagus nerve treatments all designed to nourish and stimulate the vagus nerve. Hugely underrated, the vagus nerve is responsible for the parasympathetic nervous system that controls the digestive system, heart rate and nervous system. It was a truly special day for all of us and we thank you all for coming along with us with such open hearts and minds. A day for us all to flourish!

I’ve noticed that since entering menopause, simple tasks like answering the phone or meeting new people have started to feel as nerve-wracking as a first date. We’ve all heard about the rollercoaster of mood swings, but it seems anxiety and depression are equally common joyrides! Whilst these sometimes paralysing symptoms are not exclusive to menopause, they often seem to make an unwelcome appearance during this time. Thankfully, acupuncture can be the natural lifeline you need to balance your mood and boost your emotional well-being. Discover more by reading my latest blog on menopausal emotional health (link in bio) 🌈

💬 “You didn’t do enough pelvic floor exercises.”
💬 “You’re overweight.”
💬 “You’re just getting old.”

Heard it all before? We have too. It’s a narrative that leaves women feeling blamed and frustrated. But what about menopause?

The truth is, the drop in oestrogen during perimenopause and menopause has a huge impact on bladder control and no one seems to be talking about it!

✨ In my latest blog post, I debunk these myths and explore:
💡 Why menopause affects bladder control.
💡 The science behind estrogen and incontinence.
💡 How acupuncture can ease this really irritating menopausal symptom.

🌸 Let’s be traitors and change the usual narrative. Yes I have been known to wet myself, as have pretty much every single female friend going through perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.
Click the link in bio to learn more about incontinence, menopause, and how acupuncture can help.

Faithful or a Traitor?
Are you fed up of feeling like you're at fault for everything that's going on with your health?
"You're doing too much of this",
"You're not doing enough of that".
It sucks!
Are you a faithful to the self-critical narrative, or do you fancy being a bit of traitor with me?
I'm feeling totally fed up with feeling inadequate. Let's look at things a little differently.... follow Acubath Acupuncture to find out a different way of approaching our health...
