Bath Life Awards 2026 FINALISTS! 🤝

Yesterday’s announcement was an extremely exciting/surreal moment for us here at Hands to Hold CIC. We have and always will remain committed to ‘Our Purpose & Our Why’ and to have the support we’ve received so early on in this journey has been amazing and not something we take for granted.

We would like to thank all of you who’ve supported this journey so far and for all who will continue to support us as we grow and evolve. We aim to always provide hope and support in a world that at times feels like it lacks exactly that.

Once again, thank you and we look forward to seeing where this journey takes us.

Meet our Co-Founder Jon ✨

Many of you in the Local Bath Community will know him as the face of Bullfrog Bottles 😁

After facing mental health challenges for many years, Jon possess a deep understanding of silence’s profound effects, the pain of grief and the impact of losing a loved one to su***de. This has led him to take this natural next step into creating Hands to Hold CIC.

Founding this new & upcoming CIC with love and a mission to ensure no family impacted by su***de ever feels overlooked or forgotten again.

Having suffered through tragic loss by su***de at an early age, Ellie has been a passionate advocate for Su***de Prevention & Men’s Mental Health. So when making the decision to partner up with Jon to create ‘Hands to Hold CIC’ it was a natural next step for her.

Being able to combine her approachable & sensitive demeanour with her undeniable passion and determination to break the barriers surrounding Mental Health makes her a true asset to have start up this new & upcoming CIC.

September is Su***de Awareness Month 🤍

720,000 estimated global su***de deaths every year. While some populations are affected more than others, su***de impacts each and every demographic across the globe.

This is 720,000 families, friends & loved ones who are impacted by loss each year.

This is not including…
• 1 in 5 people that will have Suicidal Thoughts in their Lifetime
• 1 in 14 people that’ll Self-Harm
• 1 in 15 people that’ll Attempt Su***de

Whilst September is Su***de Awareness Month, each and everyday for the rest of our existence will be devoted to bring awareness to the dark, deep & profound effects this has on people all across the world.

EVERY DAY IS SUICIDES AWARENESS DAY!

Sometimes it’s hard to know how to best navigate at what can feel sometimes one of the hardest times of the year. Whether it be a Birthday, Anniversary or simple a normal day, sometimes we all need a little helping hand.

Here’s some tips to help navigate those times of year & how to support a loved one during those times 🤝

Grief is for life, we just experience it in different ways and at different levels along the way🪽

Every 40 seconds somebody dies by su***de & every 41 seconds someone starts their every lasting grieving journey.

Grief is a journey that is never ending, a love that continuously has no where to go but sit within your heart and memories that feel as real as the moment you made them. Certainly something you or anyone should have to do alone, everybody needs A Hand to Hold 🤝

OUR WHY 🤝❔

We’d set our mind to a task & a post but the ex*****on was far harder than expected.

As it stands, in the UK, there has been no official study that demonstrates just how many families are financially impacted and to what degree when they’ve been at the hands of losing a loved one to su***de.

This alone explains “Our Why”. With the relationship between Su***de & Insurance Policies being a complex one and Cost of Living on the rise families should never have to feel alone throughout their grief and left without A Hand to Hold.
