Dare we say it but the sea is getting a teeny bit warmer...or maybe we should say 'less cold', and with the beautiful weather over the last few days we've really been seeing people making the most of it ☀️☀️

Swimming in the strait here at the sauna is a fantastic way to get the benefits of cold v hot, aim for a session around 1 hour either side of high tide and you're looking at a 30 second walk to the water 🌊

Tips for swimming 🥽

*Wear swim shoes if you have them.
*Take your time, build up to it and listen to your body.
*Breath!
*It's a public beach so we can only advise but it's always handy to know about whether the tide is going in or out, if you're not sure just ask, and don't swim outside your limits.

And remember, if you can't make high tide don't worry, we have been a custom built cold plunge tank 🥶

We've had a very happy Easter weekend and we hope you have too 🐣

Thanks to everyone that visited us 💖 we've had a lovely mix of regulars and holiday-ers and a lovely-ish mix of weather too! ⛈️ Storm Dave made things a little windy on Saturday but today has finished off on a high....☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Don't forget we're open on bank holiday Mondays right through out the year!

Our sauna is all about bringing people together 💖 we absolutely love meeting you all and hearing about how you found out about us, why you sauna, or just having a general chit chat!

We're seeing familiar faces more and more now and we're really starting to get to know our little sauna family, it makes the place feel like a home away from home!

We underestimated how much we'd enjoy the job and that it would eventually start to not feel like work at all! (Apart from maybe when you're in at 7am in December in the dark 😂)....

We never get tired of looking at / taking pictures of / hanging out at / using our sauna 😘 If it was up to us we'd spend every day there in the sunshine ☀️

With the better weather (hopefully) on the horizon people have started to ask about using the sauna in the hot weather and if it's worth it? The answer is YES! Using the sauna in the warmer weather actually makes the heat of the summer more comfortable as it acclimatises your body to heat and all the usual health benefits of the sauna still apply!

We are so proud of the little stretch of beach in front of the sauna, we clean it every day we are open (and somtimes even when we're not!). We even have it registered with for official beach cleans where they collect data on what we pick up ⛱️
