How do you find comfort during Pregnancy?
Lots of women especially towards the end of pregnancy find it hard to get comfortable often needing to change positions several times in the night.
The end of pregnancy starts to require a different rhythm to what we are used to. No longer can we do the 8 hours sleep followed by 16 hours awake.
We start to need more breaks and rest during the day and often require movement at points in the night.
This change is priming us nicely for the rhythm of our babies. How can we lean into it? How can we flow with it rather than fighting it?
Taking time for constructive intentional rest during the day is one way. Lots of women find this really hard. My suggestion is to have a relaxation song, start by simply making yourself comfortable for the duration of that song and then build from there.
Your body is doing something truly amazing, honour it, respect it, connect with it ♥️♥️💫
N.B. I always recommend getting off the sofa towards the end of pregnancy, sitting in reclined position with the spine releasing down and back (essentially slouching back) does not encourage ours babies into the best position for birth. All of this and more I teach in my weekly classes xx
