Losing weight can be made a little easier when you have a slimming buddy whether it’s your best friend, a sibling, your partner, parents or your children. Some of our favourite connections are seeing people who have been supporting each other via social media become real life friends.

Whether you’re leaning on your buddies for moral support or you’re losing weight together with some good old fashion competition, slimming with someone else by your side can be a real motivator.

Studies have shown that losing weight with someone else means that you’re more likely to reach your goals. Your friends don’t even have to be following the same weight-loss journey as you, or even losing weight at all themselves, all that matters is knowing you have their support.

You’ve probably read one of those articles in which an impossibly gorgeous celebrity talks about how she looks so impossibly gorgeous. We’ve read a bunch of them and noticed a common element:

So we did a little digging and found out that it actually does a bunch of great things for your body.

Here, 5 benefits of lemon water. Consider us converted.

1. It jump-starts your digestive system
Drinking warm water with lemon stimulates the gastrointestinal tract, making your body better able to absorb nutrients and pass food through your system with ease. Lemons also works to relieve heartburn and bloating.
2. It could help you lose weight.
Lemons contain pectin, a fiber that supports weight loss by keeping cravings at bay. Sip on this concoction between your 1:1 Diet products!
3. It boosts your immune system.
Hello, vitamin C. Always a good thing for fighting off illness. Just keep in mind that your natural levels are prone to drop when you’re stressed, making you more likely to be sick, so it’s advisable to up your intake during particularly crazy times.
4. It improves your skin.
Vitamin C is also important for skin, as it plays an important role in collagen synthesis (which boosts skin’s elasticity) and repairs damaged cells. On top of that, warm lemon water has astringent properties, which could help to heal blemishes and even scars from past blemishes.
5. It reduces inflammation.
If you’ve ever dealt with sore joints, you might have a uric acid buildup. Warm lemon water just so happens to dissolve that.

Is there a better treat than this yummy refreshing ice lolly? 🍓

Ingredients:
- 250ml water*
- 10 whole raspberries or 40g chopped
- 1 tsp of Raspberry & Elderflower Water Flavouring

Method:
1️⃣ Chop your raspberries into small pieces

2️⃣ Measure ½ to 1 teaspoon of Raspberry and Elderflower Water Flavouring (add more for a more intense flavour!).

3️⃣ Mix the chopped raspberries and Raspberry & Elderflower Water Flavouring with still water, and stir until the mix is dissolved!

4️⃣ Once your mixture is ready, pour it into the ice lolly mould and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours.

✨’Welcome’ or ‘Welcome Back Again’✨

Well done to you all for deciding that the food party has finally ended and now is the time to clean up the diet, by treating yourself to a nutritionally complete plan, that involves no junk or alcohol.

Remember just how good you feel after only 3-4 days back on plan?

If you’re struggling to get back in the zone, please remember that after just a few days of being 100% on plan, this is all it takes to get you knuckled down again. Keep trying, keep learning from previous mistakes and triggers, and then one day something just clicks and you say, “Enough, no more, I’m going to make this happen.”

And it’s down to you to make this happen, as no one can do this for you. So get out of your own way, as you can do this...

Despite your family driving you crazy
Despite falling out with a sibling
Despite work being stressful
Despite an unkind word from a colleague
Despite you feeling unwell
Despite a loved ones illness
Despite how a friend let you down
Despite an upcoming social event or weekend away
Despite who your consultant is
Despite trying and failing previously

You CAN do this...

It’s up to you to keep going, keep fighting, and keep prioritising that goal. No more “it’s because of them not me”. No more caving under peer pressure. No more not wanting to appear rude. No more excuses. Take responsibility. You are entirely up to you.

Life throws us curve balls all the time. It’s how we learn to react to them that matters. We can’t control life but we all know that eating our way through these situations with junk or drowning our sorrows ultimately just makes us feel worse. The 1:1 Diet helps put you back in control of food by balancing your blood sugars, and when you are in control of at least one thing, this enables us to handle these other life situations better.

You are incredible.
And believe me when I tell you, that you can do anything 𝗔𝗡𝗬𝗧𝗛𝖨𝗡𝗚 you want!

It maybe hard, there maybe bumps in the road… but if you want it hard enough, you can do it.

And you’ll be 𝗦𝖮 proud of yourself…

Whatever has happened is done.

Whether your clean up operation starts on the 1st, 2nd or 4th, stop making it all or nothing. Eating doesn’t have to be that way. Make it about balance.

When I say balance, I don’t just mean food. Tackle those excess and unwanted KG’s with a holistic approach, so think about going back to the basics...

✨Sleep (7-8 hours)
✨Water (minimum 2.25 litres)
✨Movement (if not already exercising then start of with 15 mins of walking a day and build up)
✨Stress (what can you do to manage it and reduce it)
✨Sunlight (are you getting outside enough?)

Take it one meal at a time, focusing on the foods that make you feel good and that you’re not still wearing the next day.

You are truly beautiful and things will be just fine ❤️

Eight months later, I had lost eight stone.
My confidence grew and I began to shopping on the high street and wearing colours I never had the confidence to wear before, but the ultimate reward was being able to fit my wedding ring back on.

Why would you seek being perfect?

Usually, we strive toward being perfect to compensate for a sense of inadequacy. People who want to be perfect usually have an exaggerated sense of their own shortcomings. They typically received messages earlier in life that they weren't good enough.

In our culture, we move relentlessly toward greater emphasis on achievement and goal orientation. When we do so, we seem to lose the capacity for wonder and awe. Could you imagine looking at a magnificent rainbow and complaining that one of the colors wasn't perfect? Not only would that be ridiculous, but we'd also be ruining the splendor of the moment. And yet that is exactly what we do when we judge ourselves for our imperfections. We forget that as humans we're part of nature, as well. As such, we would benefit if we came into acceptance of the natural state of life, which by the way happens to be imperfect.
