We’ve had a lovely few days here at The Millings 😊

Yesterday afternoon was all about jewellery making 💍📿 just look at that talent! Such creativity and attention to detail.

This morning we enjoyed a great game of dominoes 🎲, with plenty of friendly competition and laughter around the table.

We brought the fun indoors and enjoyed a fantastic game of Carpet Bowls instead 🎯

What a great match it was – plenty of laughs, friendly competition and some impressive skills on display!

We’ve been enjoying some fun games and also spent time at our Writing Group ✍️📖

There were plenty of giggles as we read our stories aloud and worked on limericks and poems, lots of creativity and laughter all round! 😄

We enjoyed a lovely coffee morning followed by Pictionary and games in the afternoon!☕

The day got even better as we celebrated National Yorkshire Pudding Day with a delicious treat of Yorkshire puddings and golden syrup 😋🥞

A proper Yorkshire celebration!

What have we been up to at The Millings Care Home?

We’ve had a lovely time celebrating Australia Day! Residents watched a documentary showcasing some of Australia’s fascinating places, while those who have visited shared wonderful stories from their travels.

We ended the afternoon tasting Fairy Bread - an Australian treat made with bread, butter and hundreds and thousands. Like Marmite, it was a case of love it or hate it! 😄

We also enjoyed a relaxing morning playing dominoes, chatting together, and enjoying tea and biscuits - the perfect start to the day.

We’ve had a lovely time recently with a surprise furry visitor making the rounds, dogs bring so much happiness to our residents!

To celebrate International Flower Day, we got creative making felt flower brooches, and we’ve also enjoyed a wonderful sing-along together.
