What have we been up to at The Millings Care Home?! ✨

We’ve had a busy and creative few days! Residents have enjoyed:
🎄 Painting ceramic tiles with festive Christmas designs
🖌️ Canvas and clay painting
🧶 Knitting
🔑 Trying macramé keyrings for the very first time

Alongside this, we’ve kept entertained with a variety of games and our much-loved film nights. 🍿

It’s been a wonderful few days full of creativity, fun and laughter here at The Millings 💛

A weekend full of sunshine, smiles, and music at St Johns House!☀️

We were thrilled to welcome the fantastic Harrogate Ukes, their live music had everyone tapping their toes and singing along. 🎸🎤

Then on Friday, we brought the seaside to us with our very own Seaside Day! From beach balls and sunshine to classic fish and chips, it was the perfect way to enjoy the summer vibes. 🐟🍟

Our residents had a brilliant time – and so did we!

Saturday Fun at The Millings! 🐶🎶🍟

What a fantastic day we had at our Family Fun Day this weekend!

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing, and our residents had an amazing time.

From the brilliant dog show to delicious fish and chips and toe-tapping live music, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, hosted a stall, or took part in the dog show, you helped make it a truly special day! 💛

A huge thank you to our local MP Kevin Hollinrake MP for opening the event for us!

As a valued member of our Maintenance Team, Brendan goes above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly – both at St Johns House and now at The Millings too!

His can-do attitude and versatile skills mean he’s always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. We’re lucky to have him on the team! 👏

Congratulations also to our fabulous maintenance man Bernie who is The Millings employee of the month for April. Nothing is ever too much trouble, he always goes above and beyond and everything is done with a smile and good humour.

Congratulations to our Activity Coordinator Danielle, who is St John’s House employee of the month for April. She does a great job of keeping our residents entertained and will also help the staff on the care side when required.
