Ageing Gracefully
New Moves defines graceful ageing as
having a peaceful mind & a kind heart
within a strong & confident body. We
can be women who appreciate & enjoy
our bodies, trusting in our hard-won
wisdom & believing that we can get
stronger and healthier, even as we
age. We can defy the dominant
dialogue about ageing: that it
something to be fixed or avoided.
Ageing is not just about decline. It is
also about discovery, intelligence,
experience, freedom & attunement to
self.
While we accept the changes that
ageing brings, we can use our
strengths consciously to improve the
quality of our lives.
Grace is about ease. New Moves
classes provide women with
specific information about these
bodies of ours:
• how do I lengthen my spine?
• strengthen my core?
• relax my shoulder girdle?
• how can I sit, stand & walk with
more ease?
• how can I release tension &
negativity?
How can I be happy in this ageing
body?
