Are you creative, compassionate, and love working with people? We’re hiring an Activities Therapist to lead a fulfilling programme at Willowbrook Care Centre, Belfast.

⏰ 30 hours per week
💰 £14.10 per hour
📍 Willowbrook Care Centre, Belfast

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

✅ Co-ordinate and deliver an innovative programme of social activities for our Service Users throughout the year
✅ Activities should be person centred, catering to a range of individual preferences across abroad spectrum of activities including but not limited to; beauty, relaxation, arts & crafts, music and theatre.
✅ Responsible for ensuring that all associated documentation is completed and evidenced in line with our standards.
✅ Fundraising will be required and therefore previous experience will be an advantage.
✅ Candidates must be enthusiastic, motivated and have the skills necessary to ensure a varied programme of both group & one to one activities are provided to our Service Users.

Coffee morning at Willowbrook Care Centre. ✨

This morning welcomed a relaxing coffee morning for our Service Users and their families, kindly hosted by Sharon. It was a warm and welcoming opportunity for our us all to to come together and enjoy each other's company ahead of the festive season. 🎄☕️

In preparation for our event, yesterday we shared some creative time decorating shortbread and making paper chains.

Many thanks to everyone who came, it was a great turnout! 💙

Caitlin has been making great strides in reaching her personal goals here at Willowbrook, and to celebrate her progress, she enjoyed a special outing as a well-deserved reward. 💙

This week, Caitlin had a festive adventure in Belfast, accompanied by Sharon, our mindset and well-being coach, and her two support workers.

They explored the magical Belfast Christmas Market, warmed up with a delicious hot chocolate and took a fascinating history tour of Belfast City Hall. Along the way, they were delighted to stumble upon a Christmas choir, adding an extra touch of holiday magic to the day! 🎄✨

Conway Group Healthcare is thrilled to announce the successful acquisition of Parkdean Care Home located in Fortwilliam Park, North Belfast, further enhancing our comprehensive healthcare portfolio.

This facility, positioned in a prime area of North Belfast, is set to offer specialised care for up to 64 residents. Our primary objective is to implement transformative changes at the site, rebuild community trust and ensure that the care home becomes a positive asset for the neighbourhood.

Caitlin is a service user here at Willowbrook Care Centre, and recently shared her interests and aspirations during a 1-on-1 session with Sharon, our Mindset and Wellbeing Coach.

Together with Sharon, Caitlin establishes personal goals, and upon reaching them, she enjoys special outings inspired by her wishlist. ✨

One of her recent adventures took her to the prestigious Glenbrook Stud located in Magherafelt, a racehorse training facility, where she had the opportunity to interact with the horses, meet the dedicated team and learn more about the equine world. 🐎

“Within Willowbrook, I use various complementary therapies along with Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) therapy to help support the Service Users.

Sessions are carried out in the comfort of their own room or in the therapy room. All sessions are created to meet the individual needs of each service user.

Mindset sessions such as NLP help identify any habits, behaviours and patterns that aren’t supporting the service users and encouraged to make positive changes.

The sessions are relaxed and varied in length. Some service users simply benefit from having someone to talk to and to feel heard.”
