Elizabethan Herbal

Elizabethan Herbal All-natural body, bath and home fragrance products. Based on historic recipes and hand made in Belfa

Our products are inspired by the many ways people have used herbs and spices over the centuries to fragrance their homes and themselves. Some are virtually unchanged - a bath bag of oats and herbs, or sea salt infused with essential oils, works just as well in a modern bath as it did in an Edwardian one. Others have been updated for modern lifestyles - a radiator bag of herbs, spices and oils does a much neater job of fragrancing your home than pomanders and strewing herbs. And microwave wheatbags may be quite a radical update of the hot poultice, but they're a lot easier to use and aren't just for aches and pains - the scarf and pocketwarmers can be taken out and about to keep you cosy in cold weather. We do not use any artificial fragrances or preservatives, just natural herbs, spices, flower petals and essential oils. Everything is hand made in Norfolk, and we grow many of the herbs ourselves.

Damp day at Peterborough cathedral but it's nice and dry in the tent.

All the traders are bundled up in big black cloaks today, looking like a crowd of hobbitses.
