Happy Friday folks 💕

Sure that bit of sunshine would put anyone in a good mood. Absolutely glorious ☀️

Today we made MORE sweetcones and they are flying out the door. Honestly we can hardly keep up with them! A massive thank you to everyone who has been supporting us. It has been brilliant for the young people to see the whole thing from start to finish and to see the money we have made from all their hard work 👏

We also tried our hand at candle making today. Another class process to watch from start to finish. We made two lavender candles and two orange 🍊 ones. They were not set by home time so we will give you a proper smell report next week 👃😂

We made the most of the sunshine while it lasted and took Rachel’s dogs up to Vicky Park for a walk round the miler. Safe to say it was a bit chaotic but great craic all the same 🐕☀️

Today we had our monthly mood booster…Gillian! We didn’t get a chance to get a picture, but we did get a big hug, and a lovely message afterwards! Gillian is such a big supporter of Laso, she’s the first to like, comment and turn up on coffee mornings with a helping hand! So a big thank you from us! 🤩

Evening all! Happy Thursday! 🤗

Tyler was swimming today but we didn’t get any pictures! Shankill leisure centre was packed with a schools tournament! It didn’t stop Tyler getting in plenty of lengths and a cool down in the hot tub!

We will try again tomorrow with pictures lol! 😝

Our little superstar Rose was on a roll today 🌟

We made around 50 more sweet cones and we are so grateful for all your orders 💕
We even had to make a few runs to the wholesaler for more sweets. 🍬 That is when you know it has been a busy day.

We originally planned these for Easter, but we have had lots of requests for birthday parties and special events too 🎉 So whatever tickles your fancy!

After all that hard work, we treated ourselves to some well earned chicken goujon wraps 🌯

Team work really does make the dream work 😜

Fresh week, fresh flowers 🌷

We were delighted to welcome Ricky from Hannah's Florist for a special day creating early Mother’s Day arrangements. 💜

There was so many beautiful flowers to choose from, and so much knowledge from Ricky. It was just lovely to watch each piece being created! All perfectly individual 🥰

We can’t to work with Ricky again in our garden in the better weather ☀️

Spring is blooming, and Mother’s Day is just around the corner 🌸✨

What a pleasure it is to be walking along side by side 💜

Huge big thank you to Rachel and her lovely mum for calling round today with Easter eggs 🐣🥰

Not only did you deliver the goodies, but you delivered something even more special — a good old chat for our mum. She says you absolutely made her day. She just loves when you call in, and those wee visits mean more than you probably realise.

Rachel and Laso have been such an amazing support to TeamDot. The kindness, the showing up, the quiet help behind the scenes — we see it all and we appreciate it so much. And you know we’re always delighted to support you right back. That’s what community is all about 🤍

We’d love to help towards the costs, so we’re making Easter sweet cones 🍬🍭 to sell. It’s also a fantastic production for our adults to be part of, working together as a team

We’ve been fairly quiet this week after London 🇬🇧 but normal service will resume next week with our monthly Mood Booster 🌸💐 a bunch of flowers heading to one of you lovely people! We also have a special visitor joining us on Monday for something really exciting 🤩✨ Newsletter will be posted 📰, and of course all the usual swimming 🏊‍♀️ and everything in between!

Knowledge is key 🔑

My dad and I headed to Mossley Mill tonight for this event. Truthfully, I didn’t know what to expect or how I would use the information within LASO, but I am completely blown away! Hearing from five different speakers about their experiences in their sporting groups, the strategies they use, and how they support others was just mind-blowing! Information like this is worth more than you can imagine. Training like this is so useful!

Belfast Giants train all their staff in using JAM Cards and offer pre-match visits. 🏒

Ulster Rugby have multiple mixed-ability teams and offer coaching courses. 🏉

Ulster GAA have so many resources, teams, courses, and special sensory areas in their stadium. 🏟️

The Irish Football Association run classes with specialist coaches for children and adults. ⚽️

One thing was clear: it is important to make sport accessible and inclusive for everyone. Although the speakers came from different backgrounds, they shared the same message. I feel that everyone in the room tonight wanted to make sure the sports they represent are played and experienced with everyone in mind.

What a truly special day! ✨

20,000 steps under our belt, an amazing lunch with Phil and his staff at Breadstall, a river tour, shopping, and memories to last a lifetime. 🚶‍♀️🌊🛍️

I am so incredibly proud of Rose and Tyler. 💛👏

Special thanks to the big goof I call my husband. He is always on standby for whatever Laso needs, even when it includes getting on a ✈️ ❤️

At this rate we will be opening a cafe! ☕🧁 A friendly little bake off today. Rose fancied banana bread muffins 🍌🧁, while Daryl was ready to whip up some Malteser buns 🍫✨

Both were fabulous, too good to choose! 😍

We had a lovely session with Davy today 😊 We were the only people there, which meant we went to battle as girls v boys at boccia! 🎯 Rose and I managed to claim first place 🏆 Although I have to say, the warm up might have been the best part 💃 Who does not love a little bit of ABBA! 🎶

Back to our room for lunch where we rustled up soda bread from scratch which we paired with some Dennys sausages, good aul Northern Irish food 😀
