Spooky season is upon us! 👻🧡

Today we didn’t leave the centre, not like us at all! But it was such a lovely day, with all three of us finally back together after a few days apart.

We got creative making Halloween puppets, put up some spooky decorations, and (as promised yesterday!) headed to the kitchen for some seasonal baking. 🧁🎃

Anyone who knows Cregagh Community Centre will know Jamie! He popped in for supervision after yesterday’s little fiasco — and we’re always grateful for an extra pair of hands and a bit of craic. Although, I might not be so welcoming next time after Tyler said Jamie was the better cook! 😅

To top it all off, we had a very special visitor today… 👀 Stay tuned, they’ll be joining us again later this week! 💜🫶🏼

🌧️ Happy Monday everyone! 💜

What a wet start to the day! Tyler and I headed to Tesco and Home Bargains this morning so we could get to the centre and stay out of the rain! ☔️

Just the two of us today, and we decided to make a nice warm potato and leek soup 🥔- perfect for a chilly, rainy day. Of course, nothing is ever straightforward here… we just had to test the fire alarm too (safety first and all that! 😂).

The soup turned out superb, and we enjoyed it with some lovely crusty rolls 🥖

Tomorrow we’re moving on to some baking- thankfully, nothing that can set the alarm off this time! 😅

What a fabulous day at W5 today! 🧠🌍💪🎨

We explored body parts, tested our strength, learnt all about our amazing planet, and even tried our hand at spray painting! There’s just so much to see and do — we could have spent days in there!

We’ve definitely left some things for our next visit (which hopefully won’t be too far away!).

Just the two of us today!

AJ had the pick of the day — and he chose the cinema! 🎬
But not just any cinema… we went to The Avenue, of course. Only the best for our AJ! 🍕🍟 Pizza, chips, and a film — what more could you ask for?
We’ve definitely had worse Tuesdays! 😜

Can’t wait to see Tyler tomorrow for another day out! 💜

Monday…again! 🤪

We kicked off the week with a Tesco run to grab some bits for a cosy soup later this week 😋🥣

Back home, we got busy baking flakemeal biscuits - lots of trial runs coming up as we prep for our coffee morning for Teamdot presents. on 26th November ☕🍪

Finished the day with a lovely walk! Definitely feeling a little chill in the air now! ❄️🧣

🌟 Feel Good Friday Vibes! 🌟

What a brilliant day we had! We caught the train to Antrim for a lovely autumnal walk around Antrim Castle Gardens 🍂🚆 The guys absolutely smashed it! Managing the journey on public transport and really shining in a social setting. 👏

We also wanted to do something special to mark World Mental Health Day, and we definitely ticked that box! 💚

For adults with learning disabilities, mental health can sometimes be harder to talk about or even notice. But your feelings, challenges, and successes all matter. 💭✨

It’s okay to need support.
It’s okay to ask for help.
And it’s always okay to take time for you.

Let’s keep building a world where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued - no matter how they learn, communicate, or experience life. 💜

Happy Hump Day! 💜

Today’s the day Tyler’s been waiting for all month… Chicken Curry Day! 🍛

We chopped up all our veggies and chicken, fried them off, and made a yummy curry sauce to bring it all together! 😋

We had such a laugh with Jamie and Lynn from the centre while cooking, it was a great way to build our social skills and teamwork in the kitchen! 😆

It was fantastic to see the whole process from start to finish… and even better to see Tyler going back for seconds! 🥰

The perfect warming dish for a cozy autumn lunch! 🍂✨

Wow, what a fabulous day! 💜

Today we visited the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, and it was absolutely worth the trip! We stepped back in time and got to experience life from years gone by, from travelling as first-class passengers on vintage trains, to seeing old milk carts, strolling along historic streets, and even meeting some adorable baby piglets! 🚂🐷

We were in total awe of everything there was to see. Tyler soaked up all the fascinating information, while AJ and I were happily swept up in the adventure! 🌊

We had such a wonderful time exploring, and we’ll definitely be back! 🤩
