BAYoga Studio BAY YOGA STUDIO BAYoga Studio is a beautiful dedicated yoga studio in the heart of Berkhamsted (above costa coffee).

BAYoga offers different styles of yoga for everyone in a warm and friendly environment, regardless of age, fitness, gender or lifestyle. There are 2 therapy rooms offering acupuncture, life coaching and counselling and we are looking for more therapists to add to our team. There will be a dedicated pilates equipment studio shortly.

The truth about inversions/arm balances 💪🏼

Many people might look at crow pose or an arm balance and think “I could never do that” or “that’s not for me” or “I’m not strong enough” but the truth is these positions are often much more accessible than you might believe. The secret is all about learning and understanding the right technique to build your confidence.

For every inversion you see there are a series of very small pre-steps that help you work towards these poses. Kulan’s 90 minute workshop hosted this Sunday at 2-3.30pm shares the secret formula of how to get into these positions.

The class will involve a breakdown of the step-by-step process and a safe space to play, experiment, and have some fun with learning more about balancing outside of your usual classes!

Step into a space of peace, presence, and creativity as we explore the meditative art of mandala painting. Guided by Māiri Design Studio, this gentle workshop invites you to slow down and connect with your inner calm while creating a beautiful dot mandala on an 8″ wooden board. 💫

This workshop is designed to give you the tools and understanding you need to feel comfortable on your mat.

Over 90 minutes, we’ll:
• Break down the key poses in Sun Salutations
• Explore simple alignment tips that help you move safely and with ease
• Learn how to connect breath and movement in a way that feels natural
• Try out props to support your body
• Practice common transitions slowly, so you know what to expect in class

We’ll also touch on the “why” behind vinyasa, giving you a sense of the philosophy and intention of this practice. 💫
