What are you scared of - really? Spiders? Flying? Enclosed spaces? Or maybe it's not being good

Are you putting all your eggs in one basket?
It's easy in this current situation to get upset if your plans go awry. Your whole day might revolve around one thing - a walk, a run, a bike ride - then the weather puts paid to that idea.
You can help yourself by having a backup plan. If you can't get out, what can you do in the house that gives you a little boost?

If we really are what we eat then I'm currently a Marks and Spencer's doughnut.
But I'm working to change that and maybe you should too. Because what we put into our bodies definitely affects the way we feel. Too much heavy starchy food makes us feel sluggish and that's no help when we're feeling a bit down and depressed.
Think about what you're eating, make a few changes to your diet, and maybe you'll feel a bit better about yourself and your situation.

Slay those dragons! Tackle those scary things! Break free!
Too often we restrict ourselves by only doing things that seem safe. But if we do something a little bit scary we can gradually increase the size of our comfort zone.
Give it a try.

Are you getting enough? Light I mean.
It's difficult right now but try to get as much natural light as you can. Take a walk outside, even if it's raining. If you can't do that, maybe you can sit in your garden or patio.
If all else fails, spend as much time as you can sitting by a window, or get a daylight simulation bulb.
You really will feel better for it.

Are you feeling like crap right now? Fed up of being stuck in the house listening to bad news?
Have a good rant!
Difficult feelings don't go away if you squash them down. Air them. Get them out. Then see how much easier they are to handle.

Fed up of looking at the same four walls? You don't have to go on a Caribbean cruise (chance would be a fine thing!).
A few small tweaks to your surroundings can change your mind and lift your mood.

You're great - do you know that? In fact you're bloody brilliant.
You're living through this situation and you're smashing it. Even if you're just pretending and you feel like a big old fake you're doing it.
So celebrate. Be proud of yourself. Tell yourself just how amazing you are.

Sod it if you get things wrong.
Sod it if everyone else has a better life than you - they're probably lying anyway.
Don't let low self-esteem get you down - you're better than that.
With apologies to anyone called Sharon who works in Accounts.

There are 24 hours in every day - always have been, always will be. You don't have to spend them all on constructive activities - you're allowed a break.
But don't just drift through your day getting nothing done, then go to bed feeling like rubbish. A bit of structure can help you reach a happy medium.

It doesn’t matter what it is that you’re scared of - maybe it’s spiders, or heights or enclosed spaces. Maybe it’s not being good enough and being found out. Maybe it’s standing up for yourself when someone else tries to put you down.
It might be a really common fear shared by millions of people around the world. Or it might be something peculiar to you that no-one else seems to understand.
Whatever it is that scares you, the feelings are the same. You feel sick and sweaty. You can’t control your breathing. Your pulse starts to race. You want to get away but you feel like you can’t move. You’re sure people are looking at you and that just makes it worse. Your fear is controlling you.
You don't have to be scared. You don't have to have sweaty palms, pounding heart, churning stomach. You can work with me and learn to face your fears calmly. You can feel relaxed and comfortable in any situation. You can be in control of your feelings instead of letting them control you. You can break out of that prison of fear.
