:: A U T U M N E Q U I N O X ::

~ As the summer quickly wains from intense heat and activity, to windswept days with rain pouring down. It’s easy to feel like it is the end, the end of this year’s blessings. This is what traditional harvest time was reaping the abundant crops we had seen, for a plentiful winter.
~ it doesn’t have to be the end, but it does take some time to adjust to the slower pace of the season. Take things slowly, nourish yourself physically mentally and emotionally. Nourish yourself with warming gut healthy foods, slow yoga asanas full of grounding and opening particularly around the heart and throat. Take some time to connect with the season gardening, walking or wild swimming.

~ you may wish to reflect on any new year intentions or goals there is still time to adapt.

~ take a subtle pause, and go deeper, this is not a dress rehearsal.

~ sending warm wishes for the equinox, such a powerful time of year.

::L I G H T ::

~Light is as strong as sound in influencing mood, communication and feeling. Look how the annual cyclical year is based around the sun and moon light and dark. Light influences health and even fertility.

~I’ve really loved these Autumn days dry bright days with so much colour in the tree lined avenues I find myself in. All shades of reds, copper, amber, golden yellows forest greens and deep earthy browns.

~ I’ve put off my winter prep to really enjoy this season of just being , finding the summer activity flow to a more creative and grounded setting.

~ I’m busy working on future planning and prep for my business and personal yoga journey whilst also living the life that is best for me. I’ve been focusing on my relationships that matter, the people that give me quality time and respect- My family and partner and new puppy Lyra.

~ we are so affected by the outside world, everyone’s fighting for attention, sometimes you have to claw yourself back.

~I’m Ed njoying radtirative yoga poses particularly bridge and fish to lengthen the spine and back and open my heart space.

#~ Enjoy the rest of this season soak up the colours and light.

:: W E L C O M E. 2024. :;

〰️it felt good this year to say goodbye to 2023, I looked back at what I achieved and in the wintery darkness of the cocoon I had built around me- I surprised myself with the happy experiences I had and those challenges I had exceeded.

〰️a year with many firsts, first freezing cold Boxing Day Dip, first ice bath…first year of teaching the same yoga class, first time teaching at 2 new studios…and many more to mention.

〰️with this air of positivity I took this feeling and energy and told myself this is what I want to attract in 2024.

〰️using the Queen of swords energy, I’ve put to bed the past, and I will only allow positive vibrations this year.

〰️this year I have kept my intentions simple:
- What do I want
-What do I not want

〰️Be honest with yourself: this is not a practice run, get what you need, try and get what you want and let everything else work itself out .

〰️Wishing you all a year full of love, peace and abundance in all its forms

::W I N T E R I N G :;

-At this time of year, I find I’m both fighting the need for more rest but at the same time I have a new lease of life -it’s like my body knows the lighter and longer days are in their way, letting go if the heady long days of summer, and getting ready to rebirth something new.

-take the time to reflect, slower deeper yin practices, and lots of heart opening .
-We are now entering first Sagittarius season so really light your fire to keep yourself going for the rest of the year get fired up for what may come.

::STAY GROUNDED:: -It’s hard to believe another year has almost gone- and it’s been a busy one.-Sit back and take stock ...

::STAY GROUNDED::

-It’s hard to believe another year has almost gone- and it’s been a busy one.
-Sit back and take stock , grab your journal and pen-write down your achievements -highs and lows.
-what went well? Do more of this
-What didn’t go well -stop doing this.
#-When it’s all over come back to your breath , do what you can, and say no when you have to -if it’s not right for you it’s not right for them.

-Time and energy are so vital to your well-being.
-Keep chasing those goals and dreams but remember to stay grounded.
-Autumn is the perfect time for grounding, replanting those roots, do you can recharge and begin again.

-Warior 2 , spending time outdoors with nature and wildlife, coming back to your breath and remember get what you need from food, friends, and jobs.
#-sometimes all you need to do is begin.

-Make space for something new to enter your life, try not to grieve for what you have lost ,but welcome that which is on its way to you, for the night will always be followed by day.

:: FIND. YOUR. FOUNDATION ::

Amongst new change and holding on to something that no longer serves you, come back to your foundation.

-Stand Firm in your feet, root down to the earth, and draw this energy up and within, lift up your crown to the skies, and feel strong, knowing you can accomplish anything you set your sights on.

-All tall buildings started from the correct placement of that single foundation stone.

-Once your firm open your heart space and keep going...

:: GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD - FOCUS ON SOMETHING YOU ENJOY::

-Ever find yourself thinking ? Over thinking? Going over situations in your head and how you could have responded differently, said something else, made a Different decision? Your mind literally has a mind all of its own and thought patterns it chooses are not necessarily healthy or beneficial, quite often your mind will feel more comfortable with thoughts and thinking patterns it is used too and will try to solve patterns in its own-

-Remember you are not your thoughts, choose what thoughts enter your head, do something today to get you out of your head, to feel instantly more at peace, positive and in control.

-Yoga was created to stop negative thought patterns and help you live more in the moment which is more beneficial to the self.

:: STRONGER TOGETHER::

-Life throws so much at us, and quite often you can find yourself being alone, feeling alone or isolated, or even just overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.

-Yes yoga and meditation and exercise and healthy nutrition helps, but the greatest medicine of all is cherishing the positive relationships around you and making new ones-we are definitely stronger together.

-It’s Ok to make mistakes and just when you think things can’t get worse they usually do.. Focus on you, take yourself away from the situation and find loving, honest and caring people to support you-it all starts with you!
