Wow, it was such a pleasure to spend time with Callum on Thursday, where he presented us with a lovely cheque for £1,301. He ran the Manchester marathon in aid of Forget-me-nots, Bicester, so we can provide our clients with lots of extras, like musical entertainment, craft supplies and other luxuries!

Well done Callum, what an achievement!!

We hope you've all had a lovely Easter weekend. We've had a busy March, including dementia awareness training for staff and volunteers. We've done manicures and painted nails. We've filled up our art walls with some beautiful pictures. We've played games, we did some flower arrangements, danced and sang songs together.

We've had a wonderful start to April by celebrating Easter with our lovely clients, staff and volunteers too. Everyone received an easter egg and a handmade chick 🐣

We look forward to seeing what the rest of the month brings.

We've had a lovely morning making spring flower posies. Huge thanks goes out to Bicester Community Fridge for their floral contributions. It's much appreciated and has made our clients very happy today, the fact that the sun was out as well is a bonus!! ☀️💐

Our staff and volunteers spent a very productive morning with Dementia Oxfordshire this week. Huge thanks to Katie Smok for her interesting and informative training session, enabling us all to maintain our skills in this very complex area.

This is Callum, he's the grandson on one of our wonderful volunteers. On the 19th April he's taking part in the Manchester marathon, and is running in aid of Forget-me-nots, Bicester.

Forget me not, Bicester is a friendship and lunch club that runs on a Tuesday and a Thursday from 9:30am to 2.45pm.
We have been open for nearly 9 years and offer a wide range of activities, including entertainment, board games, seated exercises, and an art group.

We provide a social gathering for older people who may feel lonely or are isolated. We also provide care, though not exclusively, for older people who are experiencing early onset dementia, allowing carers to have some respite during the day.

This is a happy, fun, sociable and secure space where people can meet each other, relax and take part in some or all of the activities we offer.

We serve a 2-course hot lunch, cooked on the premises, and we have a level 5 food and safety certificate.

We draw your attention to a visit from Heritage Box on Tues 10th Feb, St Patrick's day on 17th March (wear something green), flower arranging on 24th Feb, and an Easter service with Liz on Tuesday 31st March. But there are lots of other lovely things planned.
