Yesterday I attended ACE – The Aesthetic Conference & Exhibition 2026 to continue researching something very exciting that will soon be coming to the clinic… 👀

When introducing a new treatment or device, it’s incredibly important to me that I meet the team behind it, see the technology in person, and fully understand the science and clinical protocols before bringing it to the clinic.

At ACE I was able to connect directly with the experts who will be providing my training and ongoing clinical support. Building these relationships ensures every treatment I offer is delivered with the highest level of safety, knowledge and care.

Networking with leading brands and professionals in the aesthetics industry also helps me stay ahead of the latest innovations, so I can continue bringing my patients the most advanced, results-driven treatments available.

As a skincare specialist and aesthetic practitioner, just as I am as a midwife in practice, keeping up to date with CPD (continuous professional development) is so important. It ensures the treatments I provide are backed by the latest research, with safety always the priority.

Now I’m back in clinic today seeing my patients, but I’m so excited about what’s coming next…

✨ Watch this space – something exciting is on the way! ✨

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such kind words.

Reading messages like this honestly leaves me quite choked. Knowing that someone has been struggling and is now feeling more confident and comfortable in their own skin truly means the world to me. Supporting my clients on that journey is at the heart of everything I’m passionate about.

Reviews like this are so deeply appreciated — not only because they support my small business, but because they are a reminder of how meaningful this work really is.

I’m so grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for every single person who shares their experience. It never goes unnoticed.

Persistent “sensitive” skin isn’t always just sensitivity.

Ongoing flushing, reactivity and discomfort can indicate an underlying condition that, if left unaddressed, may become more challenging to manage over time.

Early assessment and appropriate support makes a significant difference.

If this resonates, comment “ROSACEA” or message me privately to discuss your skin concerns.

Raising Awareness of Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)

This lovely gentleman came to see me for a routine skin tag removal. After completing his treatment, I asked if he had any other concerns, and he shared that he would really appreciate a second opinion on a lesion on his chest that he had previously been reassured about with another practitioner.

On assessment, I noted irregular borders and asymmetry, along with a shiny appearance to the skin with differing colour, and areas that looked scar-like and elevated— all features that raised my concern. Discussing my findings with full transparency I advised that I felt this lesion needed to be seen by the expertise of a dermatologist.

While it isn’t my place to diagnose, I have undertaken additional training to help identify early warning signs of potentially cancerous lesions, enabling me to recognise when referral is needed.

Using the incredible service in my clinic, the lesion was sent to and checked by a consultant dermatologist and a report was returned promptly with a working diagnosis of Basal Cell Carcinoma. He was subsequently seen quickly by a dermatologist, the lesion was removed within days, and the biopsy confirmed BCC.

Thankfully, he is recovering well and we continue to stay in touch!

I am so grateful he has allowed me to share his images to help raise awareness. His trust means everything.

A Gentle Reminder

Protect your skin.
Wear SPF daily.
Pay attention to changes.

If something doesn’t feel right — have it checked. Early action truly makes a difference.

What Is Basal Cell Carcinoma?

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer. It often appears as a pearly bump, a sore that doesn’t heal, or a scaly red patch.

It grows slowly, but if left untreated it can cause local damage.

Early detection really does matter.
I am extremely grateful to be part of the Map My Mole service. It plays a vital role in supporting the early detection of skin cancer and facilitating timely referrals, ensuring patients are guided efficiently and safely along the appropriate treatment pathway.

Sorry to say it — but the hard truth is, there isn’t one.

There is no quick way to your best skin.

No trend.
No shortcut.
No overnight fix.

And this is often why results don’t meet expectations —
skin needs balance and harmony across all areas to truly respond.

Real, lasting results come from a holistic, individualised approach —
understanding your skin health, nurturing skin from within, using the right products, and combining advanced in-clinic treatments guided by an experienced practitioner.

It takes time.
It takes patience.
It takes consistency.

Half-hearted efforts rarely deliver real results.

You wouldn’t expect to go to the gym once and achieve your ideal body.
Skin is no different.

Be committed to the process — because real skin results are built, not rushed.
Fact.

☀️ Red Light Therapy & Sun Exposure: Why Timing Matters

After a sun-exposed holiday, it’s important to temporarily refrain from red light therapy to avoid unintentionally amplifying processes that UVA and UVB radiation have already started inside the skin.

UVA and UVB radiation don’t just affect the skin while you’re in the sun — they trigger processes inside our cells that can continue for hours to days after exposure, including:
• Increased pigment activity
• Inflammation
• Oxidative stress

Red light therapy increases cellular activity. When used too soon after sun exposure, it can stimulate skin that’s already activated, potentially intensifying pigmentation or prolonging inflammation.

This is especially important if you have:
• Melasma
• Sun spots / lentigines
• Age spots
• Darker skin types

SPF is essential — but no sunscreen blocks 100% of UV radiation, so post-sun care matters just as much as protection.

✨ Best practice:
Allow skin time to cool, calm, and regulate after sun exposure before restarting red light therapy.

Right treatment. Right timing. Healthier skin.

Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients for your skin and overall health.

It’s essential for collagen and elastin production — the proteins that keep your skin firm, smooth, and resilient.
Accelerating the renewal of fibroblasts the cells that make collagen and protecting them from oxidative stress and aging.

🧬 Vitamin C also helps regenerate glutathione, your body’s master antioxidant that supports detoxification, immune health, gut health and cellular repair.

🍊Vitamin C is water-soluble and not stored in the body, it’s essential to get enough each day through a nutrient-rich diet. Supplements can also help maintain healthy levels if your intake from food is low.

🥦 You’ll find it in citrus fruits, berries, kiwi, peppers, and leafy greens.
If you choose to add a supplementation choose a ‘gentle’ form of vitamin C to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal discomfort.

Vitamin C plays a vital role in protecting your skin, stimulating collagen synthesis, and driving cellular renewal. It also enhances immunity and supports your body’s natural healing and antioxidant defenses every single day. You hear me talk about it all the time!!!

Ensure your daily intake meets what your body needs to function at its best and truly thrive!

As always, if you wish to discuss any of the above information I’m message away 💫

Your skin is intelligent — constantly communicating, adapting, and seeking balance. 🍂

When nurtured with patience and consistency, it rewards you with clarity, strength, and radiance. But just like any ecosystem when that balance is disrupted, signs like dryness, breakouts, or sensitivity appear.

The truth is, transformation doesn’t come from one product or one treatment — it comes from consistency & understanding the needs of your skin.

Repetition builds results. Daily care supports the skin barrier, regulates inflammation, and allows every active ingredient and professional treatment to do its job effectively.

The goal is balance. And balance comes from patience, education, and a consistent, holistic approach.

If your skin feels out of balance or you’re unsure where to start, send me a message to book a consultation. Let’s rebuild your skin’s balance and integrity together.✨
