Good afternoon everyone,

There is a great deal happening behind the scenes at Zen Waters CIC, and we’re excited to begin sharing what we’ve been working on.

Very soon, we will be announcing a major fundraising event dedicated to supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and bullying. This cause is at the heart of everything we do, and the impact of this event has the potential to be truly life-changing for those who need support the most.

We are proud to say that several local businesses have already come on board to support this event. However, to maximise its reach and impact, we are actively seeking additional sponsors and partners who would like to stand with us and make a meaningful difference.

Sponsoring this event is not just about visibility—it’s about being part of a community effort that promotes safety, healing, and hope.

Full details of the event will be announced next week, but if you or your organisation would like to get involved now, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your continued support. More exciting news to follow very soon.

It is with deep and genuine sadness that we share that, due to health and family priorities, Sarah Stroud has made the difficult decision to step down from her role as Director of Zen Waters CIC.

The past year has taken a significant toll, and this decision was not made lightly. Zen Waters CIC was, and remains, something she helped nurture and build with immense care, commitment, and passion—very much her “baby,” just as it is mine. While she is stepping back from her formal role, we are grateful that Sarah will continue to remain involved in the background, offering insight and support where possible.

As part of this transition, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Ashton as Director of Zen Waters CIC.

For those who may not yet know Karen, she is a highly respected and successful business owner, having led the Holistic Therapies Training Academy for over 20 years. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with charities and support organisations, helping countless individuals advance both professionally and personally. Karen is a qualified CBT counsellor and holds over 50 professional qualifications, bringing an exceptional depth of knowledge, experience, and integrity that will undoubtedly strengthen and support the future growth of Zen Waters CIC.

Looking ahead, from April we will be expanding our provision by appointing external specialist staff in trauma-based counselling, alongside additional team members to support our continued development and reach.

While leadership evolves, our mission remains unchanged. Zen Waters CIC continues to stand firmly by the values and purpose on which it was founded—support, empowerment, and meaningful change, and saying no to Abuse. What has changed is our commitment to strengthening, refining, and expanding that vision to ensure we deliver even greater impact for those who need us most.

2025 was a fantastic Year for us at Zen. We helped so many people who needed us, and have started to become stronger in the community. Our Aim for 2026 is to expand further into the community with 2 more projects. And we start our school projects this year too. Myself I wrote a book to help those who have been affected by Abuse, bullying etc. And it got published at the end of the year and is available on Amazon. We are sending copies of the book to every School/College and centre that deals with any form of abuse over the next month. And we have copies available at our office too, £10 each.

So please help us this year in becoming a bigger part of your community.

Zen Waters CIC, Creating Calm. Enabling Change

Thank you for everyone who has helped us with this achievement. and we mean that with our hands on our hearts.
