💚 I’ve got some news I’ve been really excited (and slightly nervous!) to share…

After more than 20 years working in NHS mental health services, I’ve made the decision to take a big step and set up my own private practice.

It’s something I’ve been building towards for a while, and it finally feels like the right time.

I’m now working as a private EMDR therapist, supporting people with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, panic and emotional overwhelm — from a calm, private garden practice in Billingham 🌿

The NHS has been such an important part of my career and has given me an incredible foundation. I’ll always be grateful for that. This next step just allows me to work a little differently — with more time, more depth, and a more individual approach for each person I see.

If you’re not familiar with EMDR, it’s a therapy used to help the brain process difficult or “stuck” memories so they feel less overwhelming. It’s widely used in the NHS and recommended by the WHO.

I’ll share more over time, but for now I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey — it really means a lot 🤍
