A full house last night at our Brookenby class. Our meeting room is rather small, only 9 chairs, but luckily the hall we use for the mindful, breath based movement has plenty of space for us.
After Yoga with Rebecca had a week off to study Vedic chanting we had a great chat about the therapeutic effects of sound and music. And of course how everyone's taste is different.
It was good to reflect on sound as we used it as a therapeutic topic on our last Retreat Day as few weeks ago.
The physical part of the evening focused on how we can find support using the breath, taking us away from the very physical and material mindset we can all fall into when using the body. The breath as support has a beautiful dynamic to it challenging our imagination and neuroplasticity. Great for mental and emotional wellbeing.
Everyone was so relaxed at the end of the session there may have been a couple of snores 🙂
