Come Join us Saturday to celebrate black professionals collaborating and celebrating one another.
💖Very proud to be apart of this amazing project💖
For this year Black History Month, Aurea and Darren Watley decided to build our own ‘table’ instead of asking others to sit on theirs. Therefore, we decided to create an exhibition that challenges historical narratives and celebrates the contributions of Black communities in the UK.

This photography exhibition, seeks to honour 19 men and women from African and Caribbean communities across the UK, highlighting their untold stories and contributions.

This Exhibition, titled ‘A WelcomingTable, is more than just an art display; it’s a powerful call to action. The core idea behind this project is to use storytelling and visual arts to amplify the voices of those who are often overlooked. It aims to challenge stereotypes, break down barriers, and inspire a ripple effect of positive change within Black communities.
The project also extends beyond art to encompass fashion.

This project is in partnership with Wolverhampton Art Gallery and featuring:

Pamela R Haynes | Neville Haynes | Jannette Barrett|

Dr Chanae Mayers| Ludemira Gomes | Erica SantosI
presents | Sten Harvey | Christina Luke|

Alicia Douglas | Paul Barrett | Dr Tunde Kukoyi |

Carol Edmondson | |

This exhibition was sponsored by:

Africanclothing Shopuk

Anaisarts

Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce

The exhibition will be available from 4th October at Wolverhampton Art Gallery at the Georgian Room. However, we will have a launch on the 5th October at this venue 11am-1pm. Please come celebrate with us on the day.

Join me and a group of inspiring speakers on January 20th for an important event honoring Mental Health Awareness Month!

We believe mental health awareness should be a priority every month of the year.

At this event, we’ll shine a light on a topic that often goes unnoticed: the impact of domestic abuse on mental health for its victims and survivors, who truly understand its profound effects.

We want everyone to understand this issue, which is why we’ve organized this event. We’re grateful for the support of The Walsall Mayor’s office.

Please note that spaces are limited. To secure your seat, simply use the QR code on the poster to book your spot.
