About me:
I’m Mikayla (she/her), I live in South Birmingham with my energetic toddler, and husband, along with 2 cats named after Buffy and Star Wars characters. I feel called to support new families of all types, to empower them to make informed decisions that are most appropriate for their family set up. I coordinate the local Cloth Nappy Library, and outside of my perinatal practice, I am an enthusiastic sewer, and have discovered bread baking recently, with my toddler loving to help! Qualifications:
Birth and Beyond Foundation degree
I trained with the University of Worcester and NCT to become a dual qualified practitioner - Antenatal Practitioner and Breastfeeding Counsellor. This is the only university-accredited qualification in parent education in the UK. CCLD Level 3
I am also a qualified nursery nurse, and spent some time working as a SEN support assistant using BSL (British Sign Language).
