We're proud to celebrate Taku, our exceptional Ward Manager at Cygnet Appletree near Durham, who has received national recognition for her leadership at this year's NAPICU Conference.

NAPICU is dedicated to advancing psychiatric care and safety through its annual conference, which brings together professionals from various fields to improve patient care and safety.

Taku was nominated an impressive six times by her team and was praised for her outstanding leadership, compassion, and commitment to patient care.

She manages Pippin Ward, a 10-bed female PICU at Cygnet Appletree, which provides crucial support during acute mental health crises.

The judges recognised her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the highest standards of psychiatric care.

Four Cygnet Health Care services in the West Midlands recently united for a 20-kilometre walking fundraiser in aid of a mental health charity.
The services included Cygnet Hospital Oldbury, Cygnet Sedgley House and Lodge, Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton and Cygnet Raglan House.

The team of dedicated staff took on the Glow Walk challenge, raising £1,600 for Mental Health UK.

The charity deliver services that enable and empower those struggling to understand and manage their mental health. Mental Health UK also support people coping with the biggest societal challenges like money problems and work to create supportive environments.

Four West Midlands Cygnet Health Care services raised £1,600 during a 20-kilometre walking fundraiser for Mental Health UK.
