Nature and Football – A Winning Combination at Stourbridge FC ⚽
We’re proud to see Stourbridge Football Club leading the way in showing how football can play a vital role in sustainability and local biodiversity. As a signatory of the Sports for Nature Framework, we invited Director of Stourbridge FC Stephen Hyde to pilot a nature mapping audit – and the results have been inspiring. 🌿
From uncovering green corridors that link the War Memorial Athletic Ground to nearby canals and rivers, to reimagining future redevelopments with nature in mind, Stourbridge FC is proving that even non-league clubs can be champions for the environment. 💚
This is a brilliant example of how sport can help build stronger, greener communities. 🤝
