If you’re leaving the standard western diet and lifestyle behind and striving for a healthier diet and lifestyle I understand that it CAN be incredibly overwhelming for you.

There are so many authors, coaches and brands that make out it’s extremely easy to live a healthy lifestyle today but it’s simply not true for so many of us and I’ll explain some of the reasons why below;

1. To get straight to the point - you will be going against the grain (most often literally i.e gluten free, keto etc)

2. You have to mentally prepare and remind yourself of why it is important that you live healthier and be prepared to for a lot of changes

3. Depending on your financial circumstances you may have to start budgeting to be able to afford your healthier way of living (think opting to purchase some clothes second hand for your children in order to purchase supplements)

Does that mean you shouldn’t change to a healthier way of feeding your family and living? Of course not! What it means is that your feelings of overwhelm are valid BUT Alhamdulillaah there are some great things you can do to alleviate that overwhelm and get on or stay on your healthy living journey with ease bi ithnillaah

One of those things that can help rid the overwhelming feeling of leaving the standard western diet is understanding your WHY. If you’re leaving it because you have a child with autism and you’ve connected the dots between processed foods and poor health then that’s going to help motivate you in shaa Allaah. If your blood test showed you have pre diabetes and you’re quitting processed sugar and cheese and onion crisps because you know they are no good for you that’s going to help you opt for a date instead of a sugar laden cake as your sweet.

Educating yourself regarding the means that often lead to disease bi ithnillaah and the means that are best for the Muslim to take when seeking good health bi ithnillaah can really help motivate you on your journey in shaa Allaah
