Today we were wearing 2 hats, one to support our good friend Daphne Dennis and another to provide Plumes as the Dennis family celebrated the life of 'Mother Dennis'. We worked along side Tony Keller and his team from Burgess & Harper Funerals and in keeping with the theme, provided Red n White Plumes that adorned the hearse, limousines and 2 private cars that belonged to family members.

The Plumes added that 'personal touch' to the occasion and ensured the procession was seen.

The sun shone so bright today it would have been easy to wonder if it was a stairway to heaven...

May god continue to bless the Dennis family๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ

So, another day another customer visit. Got to spend time with ladies of Omega Funerals Ltd discussing all things Funerals, Plumes, Life and food! Yesterdays Ginger Tea was replaced with Fritters, Dumplings and Festivals. Although not what you would normally find on a table during a business meeting, it was just fine๐Ÿ˜‹

As I was getting ready to leave after spending sometime with 90 year old mother, she turned to me and said, "I'm inviting you to Easter Service on Sunday" I chuckled and continued to head for the door at which point the 'invitation' was repeated, only this time in a tone that had an air of, I'm not asking' about it ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜‚, so, guess where I'll be this Sunday! ๐Ÿ˜‚

So what will you be doing this Easter weekend? If you are remembering or saying goodbye to a loved one soon, we at procession Plumes hope that you have time to reflect and find some comfort and peace as we pause, just a little, from the hustle and bustle.

Whatever Easter means to you, be it Faith, Family, Remembering a loved one, Easter Eggs or all of the above, have a good one.

Did you know, International Women's Day was first celebrated more than one hundred years ago, in 1911?

The day was inspired by the work of thousands of suffragists, who were campaigning for more rights for women, including the right to vote.

An American rights activist, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, held the first Women's Rights convention in New York in 1848.

In November 1918, the Parliament (Qualification of Women) Act 1918 was passed, allowing women to be elected into the House of Commons. The first general election in which women could vote took place took place on 14 December 1918. By 1928 the consensus was that votes for women had been successful.

The United Nations officially recognised International Women's Day in 1977 and some countries recognise International Women's Day as a public holiday including in China, Russia and Uganda. (credit BBC)

Like any fight for equality, it's not for a day, it's not a destination it's a never ending journey.

Women, we respect love and celebrate you๐Ÿ’œ

Just about 1 day to go now until an evening that promises to be filled with fun, glamour to the back drop of a prestigious venue and the sound of 'glasses clinking' Courtesy of the London Association of Funeral Directors and it's president Gary Valentine Fuller , Dip FD. Should be a good one :-)

Black, Yellow and Green was the theme the family had choosen as they celebrated the life of BIG Steve.

Having 145 colours in our range means that whatever theme a family chooses we are able to match it.

With Victorian Carriages providing the beautiful horse and cart the colour match was consistent.

If you would like to know more about how Procession Plumes can add a unique touch to the celebration of a loved ones life, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

So, last year, after you had given your heart away, unbeknown to you, it was passed around the dinner table the very next day with the Turkey...(how rude!)

This year, why not transform a cherised photo into one of our stunning laser engraved crystals?

Available in a variety of shapes and sizes at affordable prices, they are the perfect gift and leaves a memory that will last a lifetime.

Today marks the start of National Grief Awareness Week and the theme is 'Shine a Light'...on Your People, Places and Projects, to raise greater awareness of bereavement services in the UK.

When hit with grief, most of us are unsure of where to go or even how to manage the intense emotions that comes with the loss of a loved one, strange as that may sound. It's easy to feel a sense of abandonment.

The Good Grief Trust has a choice of 1000 + charities and tailored local and national support services under one umbrella.

Hopefully, you won't need them but incase you do you can visit them here:

The Plume

The cycle of Life is one of celebration, even when a loved one has passed on. We celebrate their legacy, their spirit, their life.

The Plume serves as a stunning visual marker that a procession is taking place. Designed initially as a safety aid to help Funeral Directors keep their cortege together The Plume can be used for any type of occasion that requires a procession of cars. The Plumes are genuine male ostrich feathers imported from a self-sustaining farm. Each vase is available with either a suction or magnetic base (which comes with a protective cloth) once placed on top of the cars, they add a visual dynamic to any procession. Tested up to speeds of 40mph for stability and with a choice of 145 colours you can really Celebrate a Life with The Plume.
