Massage 👉🏼 Therapy

It’s less about pampering and luxury, and more about deep restorative healing 💆🏻‍♀️

It soothes your nervous system, melts the tension from your body and helps you move through life with more ease and resilience.

It’s not indulgence. It’s maintenance for your mind and body.

Have you ever thought of massage as something “extra” rather than essential? Let me know in the comments 💬

Most people think the goal is to feel calm and relaxed all the time. But that’s not realistic, or necessary.

👉🏼 So what IS the goal then? To move through stress and anxiety without getting stuck in them.

Your body is designed to experience waves of activation (stress) and relaxation (rest). But when stress piles up without a way to release it, you get stuck in fight or flight mode.

Here are 5 simple way to help your body return to balance:
😮‍💨Breathe slowly (taking longer exhales calms the nervous system)
🙂‍↔️Shake out tension (movement releases built-up stress)
💆🏻‍♀️Touch and pressure (massage, weighted blankets, self-holds all work here)
😙Humming/sighing (stimulate the vagus nerve= instant calm)
🧘🏻‍♀️Grounding (feel your feet on the floor, connect with gravity while sensing your surroundings)

Which of these helps you the most? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏼

Not knowing what your body needs isn’t failure—it’s conditioning.

Most of us were taught to push through exhaustion, ignore discomfort, and silence our needs in the name of productivity. No wonder it feels confusing when someone says "just listen to your body."

But here’s the truth: Your body has never stopped speaking to you. You just might need time to relearn its language.

Start small 🤏🏼

Notice where you’re holding tension.
Pay attention to how certain spaces & people make you feel.
Give yourself moments of stillness to check in.
The more you listen, the clearer it gets. 😌

👉🏻 Do you struggle to ‘hear’ what your body is saying? Let’s talk in the comments.

Save this post as a reminder: There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re simply learning to understand your body again—and that takes time, patience, and practice.

Hello lovelies 👋🏼

I’m taking a short break away this week. I won’t be answering emails, calls, or texts until I return on Monday.

It’s the first time I’ve book a holiday abroad since 2019, so I’m super excited.

Really looking forward to some rest and relaxation.

Thank you all for your continued support, and I will see you soon 🫶🏼🤲🏼🙏🏼

Mental Health ➡️ Emotional Health

When it comes to our mental health, it's all about how we're feeling deep down. 🌀

Our thoughts and emotions play a significant role in shaping our overall well-being 🤸🏽‍♀️

Whether we're sensitive souls or not, we all experience a rollercoaster of emotions every day – the ups and downs that make us human. 🎢

And because we've all felt moments of sadness, fear, anger, and even hopelessness, we have the incredible capacity to empathize and show compassion to others when they're not feeling their best.✨

During our therapeutic massage sessions, we combine the power of touch and emotional awareness. Through touch, we not only focus on relaxation but also bring attention to where emotions manifest within our bodies.

We use the body to see it as a container, gently guiding us to explore the physical sensations associated with our emotions. 🤲🏼

Together, we create a safe space to explore and express how we feel, learning to communicate our inner world openly, fostering calm, confidence and connection with your sensitive nervous system.🫶🏿

Let's embrace our shared emotional journey and support one another along the way. 💛🌈

It's natural to want to avoid negative or uncomfortable emotions, especially when they feel so loud. 😖

But, the truth is that we don't need to be afraid of all the feels.🫶🏼

Learning that it's okay to have BIG feelings, and that it is safe to process and express your emotions is a key part of befriending them. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾

Befriending your emotions means acknowledging and accepting them as they are, without judgment or resistance. 🤲🏼

This is a challenging process, but it's a powerful way to begin creating more space for feelings and sensations to exist and for you to become more comfortable with discomfort.🥹

Allowing yourself to fully feel into your experiences, without constantly worrying that you're going to be overwhelmed is possible. 😌

And you MUST if you want to cultivate connection with your body and sensitive nervous system. 🤌🏼

I’ll be your Massage Therapist!

Hi I’m Karen, Massage Therapist, and I’m passionate about working with people dealing with CHRONIC STRESS and ANXIETY.

My practice focuses primarily on alleviating the mental and physical effects of CHRONIC STRESS and ANXIETY for clients. Those who experience anxiety or chronic stress in their lives can feel aches and pains often due to the build-up of tension in the tissues (muscles, connective tissue, fascia). Tension headaches, upper back, shoulder and neck pain, as well as sleep disorders or concentration issues are some of the most common side-effects of stress and anxiety.

A need for downtime, especially when you have hectic days is essential to alleviating stress and anxiety. You need to be able to process the deep thoughts and strong feelings that come with feeling overwhelmed.

I know first hand the importance of self care and how chaotic and overwhelming life can start to feel after you’ve placed your needs last for the umpteenth time. I also understand from both my massage training and personal experience how significant massage can be for people who experience stress and anxiety. Therapeutic touch can provide calming and grounding sensations, creating a felt sense of safety. Feel clear-minded and in control. Become empowered rather than depleted.
