Getstressless - Reach Your Full Potential!

Want to know what I do? What I do well? I coach client’s in effectively & efficiently overcoming their stresses & reach their goals. What follows is a trial I carried out with a client. She followed my unique strategy. This is what happened.

Day One of Wellbeing Trial

I met up with Denise last night at 7pm, 24th April, 2018. We met at the Bargeman’s Rest, Newport, Isle of Wight. I introduced myself as we had never met before. Her name was referred to me by one of my mentor’s. I explained the process and Denise was happy to start. I handed her a copy of my Quest 4 Authenticity strategy.

Quest 4 Authenticity or Q4A began with an assessment - an holistic overview looking at a person’s behaviour in 14 key areas, such as diet & exercise. She ticked each area accordingly. This took about 5 minutes to complete and gave her an overall score. This let Denise know where she is at, and what areas she needed to work on. I then explained to Denise the other part of Q4A, completing each segment daily. This is a series of reflections, meditations and affirmations focussed on key attribute. Denise was invited to reflect, meditate and affirm this into her life. This then culminates in an evening examination to gauge how she did on each daily task.

I explained to Denise that I will be phoning her each day to see how she is doing and feeling for each segment she completes, and that I would be entering this into my blog and through my social media platform. Denise was happy about this and was eager to see how Q4A works for her throughout the coming days.

Day Two of Wellbeing Trial

I contacted Denise tonight and asked how she was doing on her wellbeing journey.
She told me that she feels very positive and optimistic. Denise runs a business and is concerned about her finances and finding the time to relax. I spoke to her about the importance of having a sound work-life balance. Denise agreed but was always worried about having to pay the bills so felt that she didn't have the time to pause and chill out.

She has decided to get in touch with her accountant and go over her finances. Denise is happy that she has done this but feels disappointed that she didn't do this earlier. I reassured her that what is important is that she has taken action now and that she has started the momentum!
Denise told that she is enjoying reflecting on the daily attributes and told me that pondering over Humanity and Optimism has given her food for thought and 'felt inspired by the wider meaning of such words'.

Denise told me that she is feeling more confident, less afraid and confronting procrastination. I congratulated her on this shift in her thinking and encouraged her to continue onwards and forwards.

Day 3 of Wellbeing Trial

Denise told me that when she went to bed on day 2, she found it difficult to sleep as she was 'buzzing' with lot's of positive ideas due to the reflections and exercises of Quest 4 Authenticity.
She told me that she had an upsetting day with a client she sees regularly. She found herself judging this person and feeling unsympathetic.

I asked Denise how Q4A had helped her in this matter and she told me that it had made her more aware of her thoughts, feelings and behaviour. She reflected on the question: Am I being productive with this mindset? She felt that she wasn't and felt that observing her reactions and observations helped her to be more detached.

Denise also managed to find time for herself which she hasn't done for a long time. She felt very good about this and found that she can manage her time more effectively. I suggested to Denise that in her journey towards authenticity, that she begins to savour all that is good in her life and not to take these good event blessings for granted. She is realising that 'things' are still happening to her and that it is in her responses to them that are key.

Day 4 of Wellbeing Trial

Denise has told me that following the exercise's of Q4A are quite challenging. It's encouraging her to change her whole mindset: how she thinks, feels, and responds and acts. She finds herself sitting down and reading some magazines, trying to take her mind off work and other matters.

In doing her assessment at the beginning of the week, I told Denise of the importance of social engagement and how connecting with other's can have such a positive effect on our wellbeing, and in ways that we didn't anticipate. Denise took this on board and has arranged to meet up with her friends, and asked her aunt out to the theatre. She feels really good about this and told me that she has 'something to look forward to.'

Denise also got paid up front for a job she had done, receiving the whole amount, which was unexpected. I told her to be ready for positive surprises as you focus on positivity and optimism.
All in all, Denise has felt good today and is looking forward for tomorrow's exercises.

Day 5 of Wellbeing Trial

Denise felt good about how she was feeling and surprised by how calm she was. She was enjoying more clarity and a greater sense of direction. I told her that her mind-set was feeling positive vibes, enabling her to ‘fire on all cylinders’.

Day 6 of Wellbeing Trial

She reflected on composure and felt more confident and good about herself.
Diane met up with friends after work. She enjoyed the company and had a good laugh. They have all agreed to meet up every month either for a drink or for a meal. This will be her treat for the hard work she does. Diane told me that this is something to look forward to on a regular basis, and that she is now feeling less anxious and stressful about things. Tomorrow she hoping to get a carpet, again something Diane has put off for some time. She has found greater confidence in herself and in her decision making.

Day 7 and Last Day of Wellbeing Trial

I asked Dianne what she had gained from engaging in the7 day trial?

She has said to me that she is feeling better than ever and thanked me for introducing her to the power of Quest 4 Authenticity. She completed her second assessment, the same one she did on day 1 and made a sizeable step forward - making true progress. When she started Diane scored 26 which put her into the lowest sector, and now only 1 week later, she has made a score of 34 and moved into the medium sector - sound progress indeed!

Diane is continuing with the exercises because she knows that it works and feels great for having completed just 7 days! A big thank you for Diane for taking part in this venture, and for making such great progress, and a thank you to all those who followed my blog,

Why not get in touch with me for a Q4A assessment? The first 20 callers will be free, so what have you got to lose?

"If you look at what’s happening in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, they’ve actually managed to keep their offices, shops and restaurants open."

HI all!

The above quote came from Jeremy Hunt, former heath secretary.

Life is showing some semblance of 'normality' in different parts of the world. They were strict in their lock-downs and testing, and now they are reaping the benefits!

We are now doing the same. Let's continue our togetherness. Let's be optimistic but vigilant. Hopeful, but cautious. Happy, but patient!

Our freedom is soon coming. How great will that feel?

Keep shining, keep smiling. Eat well, exercise well & keep strong & positive.

What is the first thing you will be doing when all this is over?

This just sent to all NHS staff. Worth a read. At The Princess of Wales hospital. NHS staff have been sent this: This is the advice given to hospital staff. It explains the virus and hopefully, how to prevent getting it. Please share with family, friends and work colleagues. Virus Detection: The simplest way to distinguish Coronavirus from a Common Cold is that the COVID-19 infection does not cause a cold nose or cough with cold, but it does create a dry and rough cough. The virus is typically first installed in the throat causing inflammation and a feeling of dryness. This symptom can last between 3 and 4 days. The virus typically then travels through the moisture present in the airways, goes down to the trachea and installs in the lungs, causing pneumonia that lasts about 5 or 6 days. Pneumonia manifests with a high fever and difficulty breathing.

The Common Cold is not accompanied, but there may be a choking sensation. In this case, the doctor should be called immediately. Experts suggest doing this simple verification every morning: Breathe in deeply and hold your breath for 10 seconds. If this can be done without coughing, without difficulty, this shows that there is no fibrosis in the lungs, indicating the absence of infection. It is recommended to do this control every morning to help detect infection.

Prevention: The virus hates heat and dies if it is exposed to temperatures greater than 80°F (27°C). Therefore hot drinks such as infusions, broths or simply hot water should be consumed abundantly during the day. These hot liquids kill the virus and are easy to ingest. Avoid drinking ice water or drinks with ice cubes. Ensure that your mouth and throat are always wet, never DRY. You should drink a sip of water at least every 15 minutes. WHY? Even when the virus enters water or other liquids through the mouth, it will get flushed through the oesophagus directly into the stomach where gastric acids destroy the virus. If there is not enough water, the virus can pass into the trachea and from there to the lungs, where it is very dangerous.

For those who can, sunbathe. The Sun's UV rays kill the virus and the vitamin D is good for you. The Coronavirus has a large size (diameter of 400-500 nanometers) so face masks can stop it, no special face masks are needed in daily life. If an infected person sneezes nearby, stay 10 feet (3.3 meters) away to allow the virus fall to the ground and prevent it from falling on you. When the virus is on hard surfaces, it survives about 12 hours, therefore when hard surfaces such as doors, appliances, railings, etc. are touched, hands should be washed thoroughly and/or disinfected with alcoholic gel. The virus can live nested in clothes and tissues between 6 and 12 hours. Common detergents can kill it. Things that cannot be washed should be exposed to the Sun and the virus will die.

The transmission of the virus usually occurs by direct infection, touching fabrics, tissues or materials on which the virus is present. Washing your hands is essential. The virus survives on our hands for only about 10 minutes. In that time many things can happen, rubbing the eyes, touching the nose or lips. This allows the virus to enter your throat. Therefore, for your good and the good of all, wash your hands very often and disinfect them. You can gargle with disinfectant solutions (i.e. Listerine or Hydrogen Peroxide) that eliminate or minimize the amount of virus that can enter the throat. Doing so removes the virus before it goes down to the trachea and then to the lungs. Disinfect things touched often: mobile phone, keyboard, mouse, car steering wheel, door handles, etc .... Sent in to us just now and we wanted to share this knowledge & advice with you all. Please do the same and take care!

Hi all, just been doing a bit of research on keeping coronavirus at bay.
There is understandable fear, uncertainty & in some cases panic. Most of us have never experienced this before. Here are a few tips I suggest.
Be Positive! Take 3 deep breaths. Imagine breathing in good health, high vibrations, and breathing out all stresses, anxiety & tension. Do this morning and night
Pray if you do, affirm if you don't.
Try mindfulness: the appreciation of the now.
Try yoga, anything old & new that gives you peace of mind.
Wash your hands often with soap!! Sanitize your phone often: don’t use your phone that often in public. Don’t touch your face: don’t rub your eyes. Don’t bite your nails. Don’t wear a mask. Don’t wipe your nose with the back of your hand. If you’re a smoker, now is a time to give up!!!
Reduce tea, coffee & alcohol (all things in moderation)
Eat plenty of wholegrain, fruit, vegetables, sunflower/pumpkin seeds, walnuts/brazil nuts: lean meats/fish/shell-fish containing important vitamins & minerals: ESSENTIAL FOR A STRONG & HEALTHY IMMUNE SYSTEM!
Ensure you take the following:
Beta-Carotene: Iron, Vit A, B6, C, D & E & Zinc
Exercise regularly: 5 days a week for 30 minutes.
Humans are social creatures and resist 'isolation!' Reach out to each other. Engage more often. Connect. I am seeing good things on the internet, people making entertaining live videos to keep spirits up. What can you do? Remember, we all MATTER!
There is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay safe! Keep smiling & keep shining! We will get through this. See you at the 'BIG PARTY!'
Hope this helps

In this worrying time realise the whole of humanity is experiencing this situation. We are all in this together. Many of us are scared but we will get through this. Let's be kind, considerate: reach out to others and prepare for the 'post coronavirus celebrations!'

17/03/2020

A happy St. Patricks day to all. Be strong, turn to each other and use this time to reflect on what really matters!

We will get through this! Smile, Give & Endure!!

Although painful & difficult, this is a time to count your blessings.

Appreciate what we have not what we haven't!
