A a key take away from my Professional Doctorate📚 in Strength and Conditioning has been the use of technology to measure performance in both patients and athletes. 🚨⛔️🚨 However, every test no matter how sophisticated the technology has error built within it. This error can be magnified if the clinician⛑️ or Coach 🏋🏿♂️ does not standardise the way the athlete or patient is tested. Above is a very good example of standardisation errors brought on using the same test to measure finger strength in a climber. Measurement error is a dull subject for most coaches and clinicians, but it can affect our clinical judgement, patient/athlete motivation and most importantly their safety. 🚨If a measurement is important then so is it’s reliability….,🚨 “A Cavalier🤠approach to testing will always end with Rubbish 🗑️results “… When you test your self don’t for get to standardise your test procedure 👍⬇️
