💚 Tommy Update 💚

Tommy has his 3 monthly scans today.

Not only did he smash going into the hospital, but he insisted on holding his own anaesthetic mask like a boss — braver than most adults we know! So proud doesn’t even begin to cover it ❤️

Scanxiety is real, and days like this aren’t easy, but moments like these remind us just how strong and resilient he is. One step at a time ✨

We are hopeful to have the results next week and hopefully we don’t have as long and anxious wait as his previous scans.

✨ PROUD MUM POST ✨

Since Tommy’s Hickman line was removed, he’s had to have monthly capillary blood sampling via finger prick. For a 4-year-old, repeated lancet procedures and prolonged squeezing to obtain an adequate sample can be pretty uncomfortable (not to mention sore!).

Today, the amazing nurses in Schiehallion Daycare gave him the choice: capillary sampling via finger prick, or venepuncture — a single needle insertion into a vein in his arm for a quicker blood draw.

He chose venepuncture. Counted to 10 and didn’t even cry 🥹

I am unbelievably proud of his bravery. Watching him face clinical procedures after everything he has had to endure, still with such calmness and courage at just four years old is incredible. My strong, resilient little boy 💙✨

🎗️World Cancer Day 🎗️

Today I’m thinking about how incredibly proud I am of my little hero, Tommy. 💛

He is currently in remission, but still bravely continuing treatment to help stop the cancer from coming back. This treatment isn’t yet approved in the UK, so we feel overwhelming gratitude every single day that we are able to access it through the NHS.

My heart is with every family walking this road—those just hearing the word cancer, those deep in treatment, those living with remission, and those who carry an angel 👼 taken far too soon. You are not alone.

🚨 BREAK DANCING. CLIMBING. POSING. 🚨

After cancelled scans in December (cheers, illness 🙄), a painfully long wait, and 12 solid days of refreshing phones…

TOMMY’S FIRST SCANS SINCE FRONTLINE TREATMENT ARE CLEAR 🎉🎉🎉

We are beyond chuffed, wildly relieved, and celebrating this MASSIVE win.

Thank you to every single person who has checked in, messaged, supported, prayed, sent love, or just quietly rooted for us — it has meant EVERYTHING ❤️❤️❤️

As if our life wasn’t crazy enough, we want to introduce you all to Basil Quinn 🐶💚

Tommy has been asking for a dog for as long as I can remember, but with him being in frontline treatment until August 2025, it’s would have been against medical advice until now!

Here’s to making lots of memories as a family of 3 + a pup 🐾✨ 🐶

💛Tommy Update 💛

It’s been a while. We have been enjoying some festivities and had some time settling back into a routine after illness, Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Today is scan day for Tommy.

We are holding onto hope that the results bring positive news and allow him to continue on his path of healing and recovery. We are hopeful to receive the results of these scans in the next week or so.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the continued love, prayers, messages, and support—you are carrying us through this more than you know. 🙏

Tommys decided to take up cooking 🧑‍🍳

If anyone is needing a new year meal rustled up, get in touch, small fee for products only 🤣

This post may seem insignificant to some but Tommy actually ATE some of this meal after helping to make it.

Tommy’s diet has been so limited following treatment that we will take any opportunity to get him back to the food loving child he used to be pre cancer diagnosis!

First round of Tommys immunisations started again.

Following Tommys stem cell transplants, his whole immune system was re-set which includes all immunisations he had as a baby. We had to wait a year after his second transplant before we could consider re-commencing immunisations.

X3 jags today and Tommy smashed it like a boss! Another step closer to being safe to live a normal life again 🫶

Tommy was asked up onto the stage (randomly!) walked all the way around for him to refuse to go on without me 🤣
