I’m Sanchia Aronberg and my business is Mind and Body. I offer women’s health coaching, reflexology and holistic treatments at my sanctuary, my private home treatment room in Bishop’s Stortford. I specialise in treatments and coaching that offer support to women trying to navigate the wonderful world of hormonal health including during fertility, maternity, postnatal and perimenopause and menopause.
We hear a lot about self-care and how important it is. I talk to women, as they struggle through major life changes, about how self-care is tied to their self-worth, and to how they show up during those upside-down times in their life. They know they should take better care of themselves, but they often don’t—until they reach a breaking point.
So, why is self-care so hard for women?
• We’re fighting against an age-old legacy. If you are like most women, you’ve been raised to take care of others first.
• Constant battle to find time in your busy day
• Difficulties expressing your needs
• As a busy woman, pulled in many directions, exhaustion—maybe even burn-out—will take over. The decisions and choices you make from this state of stress and frustration are likely to be based on convenience, rather than good sense.
What can help? Simplified self-care involves small, consistent actions like moving your body (walks, stretching), improving sleep (routine, less screens), connecting with others, eating well, spending time in nature, and practicing mindfulness (deep breaths, journaling) to reduce stress and boost well-being across physical, mental, and emotional aspects of life. Oh and reflexology too!!
My wellbeing coaching can help with too if you don’t know where to start. How can I help you?
