Mental Health Awareness month ๐Ÿ’š

Sometimes when things are hard and thoughts are dark, we brush of the small positives, because sometimes we don't see them as positives.

Trying to acknowledge those little things can help bring in a little bit of light when everything else seems so dark.

Try thinking of one positive a day...sometimes you might think there aren't any but it can be something as small as going for a walk, making your favourite warm drink...whatever it may be that is your positive.

Your little steps may be getting dressed today, going for a walk these little steps are your progress ๐Ÿ™Œ

Today for Mental Health Awareness Week, weโ€™re talking about depression. ๐Ÿ’š

Depression isnโ€™t always visible. Itโ€™s not just โ€œbeing sadโ€, sometimes itโ€™s feeling numb, exhausted, disconnected, or struggling to get through everyday life while pretending everything is okay on the outside.

For many people, depression can mean:
โ€ข Losing interest in things they once loved
โ€ข Feeling tired all the time, even after resting
โ€ข Overthinking and isolating themselves
โ€ข Struggling to reply to messages or leave the house
โ€ข Feeling like a burden to others

Mental Health UK has shared real stories from people across the UK who have experienced depression, anxiety, burnout, and other mental health struggles. Reading other peopleโ€™s experiences can help remind us that we are never alone in how we feel. ๐Ÿ’š

You can read their stories here: https://mentalhealth-uk.org/about-us/stories/

If youโ€™re struggling right now, please remember:
โœจ You are not weak for finding things hard
โœจ Resting is okay
โœจ Small achievements still count
โœจ You donโ€™t have to go through it alone
โœจ Asking for help is a strength, not a failure

A few gentle things that may help:
๐ŸŒฟ Going outside for fresh air
๐ŸŽง Listening to calming music or ASMR
๐Ÿ“ Writing your thoughts down
๐Ÿ’ง Drinking water and eating regularly
๐Ÿ“ฑ Taking breaks from social media
๐Ÿค Talking to someone you trust

Depression can make you feel isolated, but there are people who care, support available, and brighter days ahead, even if it doesnโ€™t feel like it right now.

You are never alone. ๐Ÿ’š

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week โ€” a time to open conversations, reduce stigma, and remind each other that no one has to struggle alone. ๐Ÿ’š

Throughout the week, weโ€™ll be focusing on a different aspect of mental health each day, sharing support, real stories, advice, and helpful resources for anyone who may need them.

Today, weโ€™re talking about anxiety.

Anxiety is something so many people experience, yet it can often feel invisible to everyone else. Itโ€™s more than just โ€œworryingโ€ โ€” it can be overthinking every conversation, feeling your heart race for no obvious reason, struggling to switch your mind off at night, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday tasks that once felt simple.

Some days it can look like cancelling plans, avoiding messages, needing constant reassurance, or feeling exhausted from being stuck in โ€œsurvival mode.โ€ And sometimes, people with anxiety become very good at hiding it behind a smile.

If this sounds familiar, please know you are not weak, dramatic, or alone. Your feelings are real, and support is always okay to ask for. ๐Ÿ’š

A few small things that can help when anxiety feels overwhelming:
โœจ Taking slow, deep breaths
โœจ Going for a short walk or getting fresh air
โœจ Listening to calming music or ASMR
โœจ Limiting caffeine and overstimulation
โœจ Writing your thoughts down instead of holding them in
โœจ Talking to someone you trust
โœจ Reminding yourself that anxious thoughts are not always facts

Healing isnโ€™t about โ€œgetting over itโ€ overnight. Itโ€™s about learning ways to cope, finding support, and being kinder to yourself on the difficult days.

This week, weโ€™ll continue sharing stories, support, advice, and resources around different mental health topics โ€” because nobody should feel they have to struggle in silence.

Take care of yourself today, and check in on someone you care about too. ๐Ÿ’š

Good morning,

We have a new water week ๐Ÿ’ง. At the moment due to my pancreas I am on a mission to regulate my blood sugars ๐ŸŒž

Which means I am on a strict diet with no processed sugars ๐Ÿšซ

As of my last post last week (how fast does a week go ๐Ÿฅน)

We have swapped ingredients ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡

Last week was a full week of chia, lemon and cucumber ๐Ÿ‹ ๐Ÿฅ’ ๐ŸŒฑ

This week we are going for orange, lemon and chia seeds ๐ŸŠ ๐Ÿ‹ ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŠ Drinking orange-infused water offers several health benefits, including boosting heart health, aiding digestion, and providing antioxidants that help fight inflammation and protect against diseases. Additionally, it can help lower cholesterol and prevent kidney stones ๐ŸŠ

๐Ÿ‹ Drinking lemon water offers several benefits, including improved hydration, increased vitamin C intake, and support for digestion. It may also help prevent kidney stones and aid in weight management ๐Ÿ‹

๐ŸŒฑ Chia seeds in water can help improve digestion and alleviate constipation due to their high fiber content, which normalizes bowel movements. Additionally, they absorb liquid and form a gel-like substance that can promote a feeling of fullness, aiding in weight management ๐ŸŒฑ

Thankyou for reading and have a kind day, if you need anything please reach out ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒž

Also if you have any suggestions for next weeks water ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ, I am also going to try this electrolyte drink that was recommended last week ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ โšก

We hope everyone has had a kind Sunday ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™
