🧠☕ Join us next Friday for the very first Neuro Natters session with Sam from Headway!

Headway supports people whose lives have been affected by acquired brain injury, offering information, support, events, activities, and local opportunities for those affected and their families.

Starting next Friday, Neuro Natters will take place every 3rd Friday of the month, from 11am – 1pm at our Hub on Clifton Street.

Come along for:

✨ A welcoming, supportive space
✨ Free refreshments
✨ Community connection

These sessions are completely free of charge, and we’re proud to support and promote them through our social media channels.

We recently caught up with Sue, one of our wonderful live-in care clients, and Natasha, one of her dedicated Care Professionals, to hear what life is like living together 💚

From peaceful walks by the river, to enjoying ice cream and relaxing with their favourite TV programmes, it’s the little everyday moments that make such a difference.

Live-in care allows our clients to remain in the comfort of their own home, maintaining their independence for longer, while having the reassurance that someone is always there if they need assistance.

Did you know why Forget-Me-Nots are called Forget-Me-Nots? 💙

These delicate little flowers carry a beautiful meaning. When a bee or insect visits for pollen, the centre of the flower turns white. The flowers that haven’t yet been visited keep their bright yellow centre, almost as a gentle reminder not to forget them.

The Forget-Me-Not has also become a symbol closely linked to dementia, representing memory, connection, and the importance of supporting those living with it.

We can support with things like:
✔ Trip hazards (loose rugs, clutter, flooring)
✔ Lighting and fall prevention
✔ Fire safety checks and smoke alarms
✔ Kitchen and bathroom safety
✔ Stairs, handrails and mobility risks
✔ Referrals to the Fire Service where needed
