🎉🌟 Celebrating a Fantastic Achievement! 🌟🎉

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Ellie has been awarded **Hearts of Gold for April 2026** – and it’s so well deserved!

Ellie has been recognised for being an **outstanding member of staff**, always going above and beyond in everything she does. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and her dedication truly shines through every single day.

From stepping in to cover shifts (especially those challenging night shifts – both planned and last-minute!) to always being polite, considerate, and supportive, Ellie consistently shows what it means to be a team player.

Her colleagues have said it best – Ellie is a real **asset to the team** and a **fantastic performer** who makes a genuine difference.

👏 Huge congratulations, Ellie – and thank you for everything you do! 💫

What a fantastic celebration we had for Betty’s incredible 105th birthday! 🎉

We were delighted to welcome special entertainment to help mark this amazing milestone, and it truly was a Birthday Bash to remember. There was music, laughter, and plenty of smiles as everyone came together to celebrate Betty’s big day.

A huge thank you to our entertainers for making the day so memorable—and of course, the biggest congratulations to Betty on her 105th birthday! What an incredible achievement 💐

We hope you enjoy these lovely photos from a very special day!

We had a very special visitor at Princess Alexandra Care Home 🐾

Otis, a wonderful assistance dog, came in to spend some time with our residents, and he was an absolute hit! From gentle pats to big smiles, everyone thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and saying hello.

Visits like this bring so much joy, comfort, and companionship, and Otis certainly brightened everyone’s day. We hope to see him again soon!

The "Heart of Gold" winner for March was a very popular choice - take a bow Daniel!

Daniel is a hardworking member of our maintenance team, and is always pleasant, calm and positive.

He works throughout our Blackpool residential home and its grounds, but also in the headquarters of our parent charity N-Vision. His dedication to being a 'team player' means he gets involved in all sorts of tasks!

Thank you Daniel.

The decision to help your loved one to find residential care is not an easy one - and made much harder when people 'judge' without knowing anything about the situation!

That's according to ITV's This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford. When people criticised her for reaching a point when her mother was better off in a care home, she was stung to retaliate but decided it wasn't worth it.

Instead, her message to anyone in the same situation is "Don't feel guilty, it's done with love, you are doing this with love,"

Empathetic and nurturing care homes for the elderly provide 24 hour support, and can look after the 'whole person'. That leaves family free to rediscover bonds and quality time with their loved one.

Contact us for a show-round to see for yourself how safe and well cared for our residents are.

Despite the 'ageing population' in the region, growth in care homes beds in the North West was ZERO last year.

That is according to the annual report "Caring Britain: How the care home landscape is changing", which looked at figures for 2024-2025.

The report concludes "As demand continues to rise, supporting a professional, transparent and responsive care home market will be central to ensuring that older people can access the right care, in the right place, at the right time."

Knowing where the best care homes are on the Fylde Coast can be vital. Anyone who would like a tour of our residential home in Blackpool - which looks after people with various types and levels of need - please get in touch on 01253 403 091.
