We offer residential care for people with sight impairments - but we also welcome residents who are sighted.
One thing they all have in common is that they are encouraged to 'live their best life' and have fun!
David - who is severely sight-impaired - gets support from our community caregiver team to go out and about. Such as ten pin bowling at Thornton Cleveleys YMCA.
This is all part of our parent charity's commitment to showing what people with sight loss CAN DO!

The Home was decorated beautifully for Remembrance Day, and today's Armistice Day. That included our own poppy cascades inside and outside our Blackpool residential home.

BIG ASK. Could you please donate items for our Christmas Fayre (tombola, raffle and goods stalls) including for our cakes and treats table?
The event is on Saturday 29th November 10am to 1pm, and this year we have street food, face painting and artisan craft stalls - so please join us on the day too, for some FUN!

Our Heart of Gold winner for last month was described as "a super girl with no nonsense" and "a lovely girl, thoughtful and always helping out".

Take a bow Francesca, who assists our Care Assistants in their duties. She is someone who they can always rely on, not least as she is always thinking ahead to what is needed.

We are starting to plan for our Christmas Fayre and this year it will include 'guest stalls' from local crafts people!

If you know anyone who would like to be involved, please ask them to get in touch.

As always, we would be grateful for donations of new, unwanted items for prizes. And nearer the day, donations of cakes and festive treats would be MUCH appreciated!

Calling anyone with green thumbs or fingers, a few hours to spare, or an interest in community improvement projects in Blackpool!

N-Vision and Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside. are holding a LAUNCH EVENT for the new Squires Gate green space project. This will create multi-purpose, sensory gardens in our extensive grounds.

The aims include creating a safe, relaxing space for people with sensory loss, disability groups, schools etc. There could also be areas for skill development and 'grow your own' plots.

Your ideas and time could make a BIG difference so please come along on Monday 3rd November, 3-6pm at Sharples Hall Activity Centre. Refreshments will be available.
