IAIN BECOMES NEW SPORTS THERAPIST AT LINKS PARK

Montrose FC have appointed Iain Cooper as their new Sports Therapist, following the recent departure of Scott Shepherd.

Iain holds a BSc (HONS) in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation and is currently working with St Johnstone FC Youth Academy, having previously also worked with Angus neighbours Arbroath FC.

Iain will work closely with the Club’s Lead Physiotherapist, Gemma Collier in providing optimal medical care and injury management for Stewart Petrie’s side.

Stewart said, “We would like to warmly welcome Iain to the Club. It is great to have him on board so early, and ahead of pre-season. Gemma has been a key part of our backroom team for some time now, and I am sure Iain will be a further great addition to this.”

After 4 years at uni, yesterday was my last day 🎉

I was delighted to present and discuss my dissertation at the UHI student conference. This project literally took over my life but I’m very proud of the final outcome. The results from my dissertation are already helping me in my role as a sports therapist working in football.

It was also great to talk about my experience on the undergraduate teaching assistant programme as well. Helping HNC students understand anatomy & physiology took me back and reminded me of how far I’ve come the past 4 years.

‼️New Location‼️

I am delighted to say that from now on I will be working out of Sweatbox Dundee! This is a huge opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get started. I will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and the occasional Saturday.

What’s New

I am happy to say that I now have a BSc (HONS) in Sport Therapy & Rehabilitation. Spinal and peripheral joint mobilisations along with advanced rehabilitation techniques are now part of my service.
