MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.

We only have 1 GP available today and no ANPs due to sickness and holidays. There are a limited amount of on the day appointments for urgent issues that can not wait. These are not bookable online and will be booked as usual by the reception team, to ensure patients who clinically need to be seen today are prioritised.

Once these appointments are are used, patients who require urgent assessment before the weekend will be sign posted to 111. Phones open at 8am.
