A great way to get out of the house but stay out of the cold, every Wednesday we meet at Boldon Community Centre at 1:30pm.
Come for a chat, a drink, dominoes, cards and more, you even get access to try out the facilities open to you such as the gym, snooker room and bowls 🎲

New Maternity Services Finder.

A new maternity services finder is available on to help women self-refer directly into maternity services to start NHS pregnancy care.

By completing a simple online form mums-to-be can now refer themselves directly to their local maternity services without contacting the GP surgery. The GP Surgery can still send off referrals to the midwives on behalf of patients, should they choose this route instead.

Pregnancy care (also called antenatal care) is the care you have while you're pregnant to help keep you and your baby as healthy as possible.You do not usually need to see a GP. From September, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will start sending results digitally via the NHS App.

Patients with normal results will receive an app message and notification. If this is unread within 72 hours, a letter will be sent.

Abnormal results will continue to be delivered by post.

COVID Autumn Boosters 2025

Patients aged 75 and over, residents in care homes and individuals who are immunosuppressed aged 6 months and over, will be eligible for an autumn COVID Booster this year.

We have been working towards delivering the COVID boosters at the practice for some time, but this has been very difficult due to restrictions on ordering and deliveries to GP surgeries.

We have been liaising with colleagues from the local vaccination hubs who are trying to help us get a delivery of COVID vaccine for our clinics on Saturday 11th October. We hope to have confirmation of a delivery fairly soon, so have opened up the clinic to prebook. All eligible patients should receive a text or phone call over the next week.

If you are housebound but would like to be vaccinated, please contact our reception team. We are compiling a list and home visits will be arranged int he autumn.

Flu Vaccination Booking is LIVE!

Texts have gone out today to those eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination. Anyone without a mobile number should receive a call or letter in the next week or two. Clinics start from 1st October.

If you are eligible but do not wish to be vaccinated, please let us know either via the website, or by phone so we don't pester you later in the year.

If you are completely housebound, please let our reception team know. We are compiling a list and these vaccinations will be done at home in the autumn.

If you are pregnant, your child is aged 2-3 years, or your child is aged 6 months - 17 years old and is immunocompromised, then vaccinations will start in September. We will be adding those clinics on and contacting children as soon as we have a confirmed delivery date for vaccine.

Last week we said a sad goodbye to our lovely GP Registrar Dr Tom Davis who completed his 6 month training placement with us.

We have 2 new GPRs Dr Wai Tun and Dr Mo Salem who have joined our team. Dr Salem will train with us for 2 months and Dr Tun for 6 months. They are qualified doctors training to be GPs, hold their own clinics and have GP support. Appointments are available to book with them now. Please contact our reception team 😊
