Lots of you have been asking what’s going to be happening at our Home Ed sessions this term, the answer….. absolutely LOADS!!

Please see below for a full list of session themes…

25th September- tool use (making log dogs 🐶 and tree cookies)

9th October- Autumn 🍂 tool use(conker crafts) and leaf art 🍁

23rd October- Halloween 🎃 (pumpkin carving and spooky 👻 potions!)

6th November- Bonfire 🔥 Night (setting and lighting your own mini bonfire and hot chocolate making ☕️)

20th November- Celebrating the ‘light up the north’ festival- (clay candle 🕯️ holders, tool use making a wooden candle 🕯️)

4th December- Advent 🎄 tool use (making advent logs 🕯️ and wreath making)

18th December- Christmas 🎄 tool use (making festive decorations for the home )

We are going to try a different campfire food each week too along with s’mores of course!!

We’ve had a very busy party weekend, 6 parties over 120 children and lots of fun!! We just wanted to share some lovely feedback that we received!! “We attended my niece’s birthday party today at Hedgehogs Woodland Adventure and honestly… it was incredible!

This isn’t the first Hedgehogs party I’ve been to, but it’s my first review… and it deserves one. The party was led by Hedgehog and Squirrel, who are basically part entertainers, part forest guides, part children-whisperers. They had the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too) hanging on every word.

My niece chose a Witches & Wizards theme, which included potion brewing, wand making and broomstick building. Hogwarts, eat your heart out. 🧙‍♀️✨ The children also had plenty of free time to explore the forest school playground of dreams: rope swings, mud kitchens, hammocks, balancing frames and more.

Lunch was cooked over the campfire; hot dogs and s’mores (made by the kids themselves). Safety was a top priority, but somehow they managed to make “fire safety briefings” exciting (using magic glue to stick their bottoms to the logs!) There was even tea and coffee for parents because no woodland wizarding adventure is complete without caffeine.

The birthday girl was treated like royalty, and Squirrel once again proved why children absolutely adore him. He is funny, full of energy, and today armed with water pistols that led to an epic 5-year-old vs. Squirrel scream-fest. Legendary.

It’s not just a party, it’s an experience. Hedgehogs isn’t “soft play with trees” it’s proper, wild, imaginative childhood magic. I can’t recommend it highly enough.”
