🍂September is a great time to reset for me, I had a tricky night sleep, clenching my jaw & causing neck & shoulder pain. I acknowledge the cause, so therefore have to work with solutions to support body & mind. Here’s a September Reset;
🔉Breath work & sound meditation:
My mind has been busy. So I practiced focusing on outside sounds today. Without judgement of them being good or bad. Just letting the birds, cars, the symphony of sounds come and go. It brings you into presence & it was particularly powerful this morning.
👄Tight Jaw: slowly moved side to side, relaxing tongue & gently massaging the muscles around my jaw and tapping my scalp & forehead.
☀️Allowing the sun to warm my skin & holding my hands on my chest to feel the rhythm of my lungs and heart. I slowed my breathing down.
🐶Stroking Iris helps regulate my nervous system and releases oxytocin - that hug hormone.
📚A book without too much depth, no self study. No work, just something easy to take me somewhere.
🍵My favourite peppermint and licorice tea.
👃Good quality incense, a gift from India.
🤗Honestly guys, it bloody works. These small things support stress & tension. It might not make everything go away or disappear. However, micro nuggets of wellness make a difference to our overall health & mood. Feeling a tad little as I step into my day…
