Chemical peels ✨
Common misconception is that they are harsh & painful and you won’t be able to do anything because you’ll be like a snake shedding its skin for the next few days /weeks
Answer? For the types of peels we offer short answer = No.
They are minimally invasive, medical grade superficial peels which in simple terms means they target that top layer of the epidermis and take away those pesky dead skin cells sitting on the surface which will leave you afterward with refreshed, reset, glowier smoother skin. They are much stronger than a physical exfoliation but not as harsh as chemical peels such as TCA (which do make you shed)
Expect these key things from a chemical peel:
- mild tingling / prickling
- warm skin
- Erythema (redness)
- some scabbing (only if you’ve had extraction) and this is a good sign! Your skin is healing well.
- a little bit of dryness but nothing that moisturiser can’t fix!
- you should see results instantly, but allow a few days for the skin to really take effect.
