My daughter inspired me again!

Fiorella, recently went away on her school residential trip and wanted to pack her cushion (obvs!) but the only thing is it took up quite a bit of space!

Then I had a thought, let’s make travel ones!!! And voilà, I give you our

Hi, I’m Jordana & the founder of Happy Anchors ☀️⚓️

I’m a wife & mother of 3 beautiful children. My daughter, Fiorella (in the pic) is the reason I created my first happy anchor pillow as she was suffering with terrible anxiety in & after lockdown.

All of the children in this world have gone through so much over the last couple of years and I believe some of that worry is now only being truly realised and released from their little minds. The world can weigh heavy at the best times but recent years have been particularly tough.

Having suffered with anxiety as a child too I understand how debilitating it can be. I had also had some cognitive behavioural therapy after I suffered with post natal depression after my 3 child and learned the benefits the ‘anchoring’ technique can have. I decided to see if I could help Fiorella with the same principle. Happy to say it did and it’s helped lots of other children since too which makes me really happy.

In NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), “anchoring” refers to the process of associating an internal response with some external or internal trigger.

In our case the trigger is our Happy Anchor pillows. Every cushion comes with easy step by step guidance on how to ‘anchor’ a happy and calming memory by using all the senses.

Emotion is the language of the subconscious mind. In other words it is the actual feeling of emotion that helps us imprint on the subconscious mind - that is, memory.

For example, we can easily recall any good, or bad, event that's happened in our lives. Why is that? It's because of the emotion that was involved. By anchoring a good emotional state to an object you can recall those same emotions to the present. This is particularly effective for people suffering with anxiety and/or grief and loss.

“You are not alone, we will fight this together” 💚
I was asked to design a special cushion for a lady to give to her mum who is currently going through cancer treatment. A disease that effects all the family in “normal” times but felt even more so in a world of COVID and patients have to isolate from their loved ones.
I hope my pillow brings connection & happiness in a emotional tough time when they can’t be together.

💐Mother’s Day is approaching💐
It was lovely to be able to design this personalised pillow as a present for Mother’s Day for a daughter who doesn’t get to see her Mum that often. I think that’s something we can all relate to at the moment, especially over the past year.
I love the colour palette of this design, rose gold, silver and turquoise, all compliment the blush pillow case 🌸

Two pillows for two sisters 💝💖
Plenty of pinks 💞 though i thought best for them to be able to identify their own happy anchor pillow and not get muddled up so one has sparkly silver kisses & cuddles and the other glittery white 🤍
