Milestone Moment
I’m so pleased and honestly very proud of myself to have completed 100 placement hours working with clients in rehab as part of my Therapeutic Counselling qualification.

It’s been such an emotional and rewarding journey, full of learning, reflection, and growth. I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people through some of their most vulnerable and powerful moments, and I’m so grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me.

This week, is National Stress Awareness Week, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is reminding us that work-related stress isn’t just an inevitable part of life, it’s a serious health issue and a legal responsibility for employers to address.

In 2023/24, over 776,000 workers reported stress, depression, or anxiety caused by work that’s nearly half of all work-related ill health and 16.4 million working days lost.

When stress goes unmanaged, it doesn’t just harm wellbeing, it impacts productivity, morale, and retention too.

Employers have a legal duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) to assess and manage stress risks, just like any other workplace hazard.
It’s not only about reacting when someone is struggling it’s about being proactive: understanding the pressures your team face, opening up honest conversations, and taking action to support them.

Let’s make wellbeing at work more than a box-tick exercise, let’s make it culture.

Today I gave a talk about sleep and anxiety, offering strategies to help women take control of their thoughts and empower them to overcome their fears. Recognising how we can help each others mental health by sharing our journey, starts to build a community.

This week, we’re celebrating the power of community in supporting mental health. Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone.
