The ladies at Mulberry House recently enjoyed a wonderful session learning the art of felting, turning soft fibres into beautiful pictures of delicate snowdrops.

With great enthusiasm (and plenty of creativity), everyone embraced the challenge. There’s already talk of future sessions, so watch this space for more handmade masterpieces to come.

🎶✨ A Swinging 60's Night at Chapters ✨🎶

It was a full house at Chapters on Friday as we welcomed local band Timespan for a fantastic 60's-themed evening of live entertainment.

From the first note, both the band and the audience were reliving old memories with classics including 'Wake Up Little Susie', 'Eight Days a Week', and 'With Love From Me To You'.

The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia, laughter, and plenty of toe-tapping and a few tipples too.

The evening was made even more special with a birthday celebration in the audience, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a live band and a room full of friends.

With kaftans, beads, and a touch of flower power on display, several homeowners fully embraced the theme, bringing colour, character, and a wonderful 60's spirit to the night.

🎨✨ Creativity in Colour at Mulberry Fields ✨🎨

Art class at Mulberry Fields was a wonderful celebration of the talent and creativity within our community, as homeowners explored colour palettes and brought them to life through hands-on painting.

From experimenting with warm and cool colour schemes to applying tone and contrast in practice, it was inspiring to see so much skill and artistic flair around the table.

Moments like these capture what makes our community so special, there's always something new to try, plenty of inspiration to be found, and beautiful masterpieces created along the way.

January’s history lecture series was led by homeowner Stuart Wakefield, who shared his fascinating research into the history of Finch House, the Grade II listed building that forms part of the Chapters development.

Originally known as Fisherton Asylum, Stuart explored the site’s early history and shared photographs that highlighted the stark and often distressing treatments patients were subjected to at the time.

In 1924, the site was renamed Old Manor Hospital, before eventually becoming Chapters after being purchased by The Quantum Group in 2014.

The accompanying images really brought the story to life, showing just how much care, investment and transformation was needed to turn the site into the beautiful buildings and community homeowners enjoy today.

✈️✨ A Great Afternoon of Travel Inspiration ✨✈️

Last Friday, homeowners came together for The Great Travel Fayre, enjoying an afternoon filled with holiday ideas and plenty of travel inspiration.

Hosted by Steve Dunn, one of our homeowners and a passionate travel agent with a real love for cruising, the session was rich with expert insight, lively conversation, and plenty of wanderlust.

From scenic river cruises to exciting destinations further afield, it was a joy to see so many people chatting, asking questions, and imagining where their next adventure might take them.

Moments like these truly reflect the spirit of our community, where homeowners share their interests, talents, and experiences, creating meaningful opportunities to connect, learn, and enjoy time together.

⚓🎶 It's all hands on deck with the Mulberry Mariners! 🎶⚓

There was a real sense of seaside spirit at Mulberry Fields as the Mulberry Mariners took centre stage, delighting homeowners with a lively performance of traditional sea shanties.

This wonderful shanty group brought stories of the sea to life with their strong voices, infectious enthusiasm, and plenty of character. A few nautical hats made an appearance too, adding to the fun!

The NYE performance was met with plenty of toe-tapping, proving once again that music has a wonderful way of bringing people together.

Thank you to the Mulberry Mariners for sharing their talents and helping to create such a joyful evening. We can’t wait for the next performance - anchors at the ready! ⚓✨

🎄✨ Christmas Cheer at Quantock House✨🎄

There was no shortage of festive spirit at Quantock House as homeowners came together for a wonderful Christmas party filled with live music, dancing, and plenty of seasonal cheer.

The room was filled with laughter as everyone took to the dance floor, enjoying the music and celebrating the season together.

From tapping feet to full-on festive dancing, it was a joy to see so many smiling faces sharing the moment. With great company, joyful energy, and that unmistakable Christmas buzz in the air, it was an evening that perfectly captured the warmth and togetherness of the Quantock community.
