11 weeks on from skin removal surgery on my thighs and tummy and after 4 lots of antibiotics, 3 infections and hospital visits every other day for wound dressing changes, I’ve finally been discharged and for the first time since having the surgery I can honestly say I’m glad I did it! I have been on a journey that’s been hard on both my physical and mental health and I’m still not 100% back to me (Anxiety is a bitch!) but looking at the before and after I can now look at myself and feel proud, proud of myself for losing 11 stone and proud of myself for having possibly the hardest skin removal surgery there is, I have spent 11 weeks on the sofa regretting my decision and feeling so guilty that I’ve had to rely so much on my family, but…. This week I’ve turned the corner and looking at the pictures I have had a lightbulb moment that I look fu***ng good, actually I look f***ng AMAZING!!! 🙌🏼
