Did you know that around 86% of melanoma skin cancer cases are preventable?
Most cases are linked to UV exposure — which means taking simple, consistent steps can make a real difference to your long-term skin health.
How to Help Reduce Your Risk:
- Use SPF 30–50 daily, even when it’s cloudy
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors
- Avoid tanning beds and artificial UV tanning
- Wear protective clothing, hats and sunglasses in strong sun
- Seek shade between 11am–3pm when UV rays are strongest
- Check your skin regularly for new or changing moles
- Book annual skin checks with a qualified dermatologist
