Lift Up, Pour Down 💧

This simple but effective qigong movement is a great place to start.

It uses the movement of the hands to create a wave of pressure up and down through the body.

As the wave of pressure moves through, it stimulates our nerves, our cells and the activity of the body.

Using our intention, we can direct this wave to help to clear blockages, refreshing and renewing our energy.

Qigong is deeply healing and brings together movement, breath work and meditation to allow energy to flow through us more freely.

No experience necessary.

No equipment needed - just wear comfortable clothes.

In these classes we will work through practices from Long White Cloud Small Universe Qigong including:

Waking the Qi - Designed to activate your life force energy and get it flowing through your body again.

Twelve Rivers -A set of twelve qigong exercises that stimulate the organ meridians in the body.

Between Heaven and Earth - Works with the extraordinary meridians relating more to the muscles, bones and connective tissues.

Where to start?

Centring and Alignment is a good place!

To try this:

- Bring your palms together, facing downwards
- Rotate your hands to point upwards and breathe in as you raise your hands above your head
- Breathe out as you lower your arms and rotate your hands so they are pointing downwards again
- Repeat several times, following your hands with your gaze throughout.

Practising this simple movement can help us to find our centre and to increase our focus.

This fosters our awareness so that we are able to respond to what is around us.
