Clare has been with us since the very beginning, and we are so grateful for the incredible support she gives to her service user every single day.

Always up for an adventure with her service user, Clare loves capturing new experiences and making special memories together — from discos in Halifax and bingo nights at the pub, to travelling further afield and spotting palm trees in sunny Spain! 🌴✨

🌟 Victor had a fantastic morning! 🚴‍♂️

He’s recently been expressing an interest in learning to ride a bike, so support worker Derryn took him along to Bradford Disability Cycling Club this morning and helped turn his goal into reality. 💪

Well done, Victor — and a big thank you to the lovely Derryn for the encouragement and support! 👏

Direct Payments are a brilliant way to make new experiences happen and support people to achieve their goals. ✨

On Friday, Ellie supported Mandy with a lovely trip to Filey to meet up with a friend she hadn’t seen in quite some time. It was a heartwarming reunion, full of big smiles, meaningful conversation, and lots of laughter. Supporting people to maintain friendships and community connections is so important, and this was a perfect example of that in action 💙

The fresh sea air and the sound of the waves made it a fantastic day, and both Mandy and the guide dogs clearly loved every minute of their time at the seaside 🐾

And of course, no seaside visit would be complete without fish and chips to top it all off! 🍟🐟

A fantastic day creating memories, promoting independence, and enjoying everything our beautiful coastline has to offer. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!

💕 Valentine’s Night at The Acapulco 💕

Two of our lovely service users enjoyed a fantastic night out on Monday at the Acapulco Valentine’s event, supported by our amazing staff team.

They danced the night away in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment, filled with great music, laughter and lots of smiles! 💃🕺

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, building confidence and making special memories together.

They’re already looking forward to the next event at Easter – and they highly recommend it! 🌸✨

Well done to everyone involved for creating such a brilliant evening.

We’re proud to share that over the next month our staff team will be attending Oliver McGowan Training – Tier 2.

This training is designed for staff who provide hands-on support and focuses on improving understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities and autism, including communication, reasonable adjustments, and delivering safe, person-centred care.

👏 Today, the first group of staff members completed the training and gained further knowledge and insight to support their practice.

We’re committed to ongoing learning and development to ensure the best possible support for the people we work with 💙

Into Employment supports young adults aged 16-25 with a disability to gain the right skills on their journey to employment.

Work towards a Level 1 qualification in Preparing for Employment or Further Education, as well as attending work placements which match the students interests and dreams for their future.

The learning approach will be fun, practical and focused on the skills and behaviours needed to become work ready as well as improving self-awareness and confidence.

Support will also be provided for preparing for interviews, applying for jobs and work-related communication skills.

Last Friday, our team visited Morley Street Sensory Needs Service for some valuable cane training.

We support service users who are visually impaired, and it’s incredibly important to us that we understand their needs and provide the best possible support, promoting independence, confidence, and safety.

The session gave us greater insight, practical skills, and a deeper appreciation of the challenges faced by people with visual impairments. We’re proud to continue learning and developing so we can support everyone in the most respectful and effective way possible.

Big thanks to Lucy for her time, knowledge, and support — it was truly appreciated 💙👏

🎄 Christmas Cooking with Skills Kitchen! 🎅✨

Victor has well and truly been getting into the festive spirit this week at Skills Kitchen! He rolled up his sleeves and created a delicious vegetable Wellington packed with five different veggies, served with rich gravy – and if that wasn’t enough, he topped it off with a festive After Eight brownie for dessert. 🍫🌱

One of Victor’s biggest personal goals this year has been to become more independent with his cooking, building confidence in the kitchen and learning to make a variety of meals for himself. Seeing him achieve this with such enthusiasm is absolutely wonderful.

It’s been lovely watching Victor out in the community, learning new skills and embracing every opportunity – especially in the run-up to Christmas. 🎁⭐

Well done, Victor! We’re so proud of your progress. 🙌🎉
