Lorna Brickman - Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor providing Physiotherapist led Pilates classes in BD4. I (Lorna) qualified as a Physiotherapist from Bradford University in 2007. I worked in the NHS for 3 years then moved to Bolivia in South America. In Bolivia I worked in a community health centre and with a semi-professional football team. On returning to the UK I have had 3 children and have worked in Private Physiotherapy Clinic and Physio-led Pilates Studios. Here is my Pilates story...
After having my first child I went to a Postnatal Pilates Class at Inner Balance Pilates, Baildon, and that's when I fell in love with Pilates. Joseph Pilates stated that in 10 sessions you can feel the difference, in 20 sessions you can see the difference and in 30 sessions you'll have a brand new body! I can definitely say that the first two were true for me. I felt stronger, fitter, more aware of my posture and had a toned, flat stomach for the first time ever! I decided I had to do my training to become a Pilates Instructor and I haven't looked back! My Pilates Qualification
APPI Matwork Level 1
APPI Matwork Level 2
APPI Matwork Level 3
APPI Ante & Post Natal Pilates
Pilates for Children & Young People. APPI Certified Instructor
I love to see people enjoy doing exercise. I also love to work with people on their goals, see their body and posture change and improve and symptoms improve through Pilates. Pilates really is fabulous for everyone, whether it's just to improve posture and core strength, to reduce back pain, to prevent injuries or improve someone's running or sport.
